I Can’t Take It Anymore: Humorous The Bronx band House of Weirdos could use a helping hand on ‘Help Me Doctor, Please’

Comprised of a group of childhood friends who all grew up together, House of Weirdos follow the crumbs and head towards the wise man who could possibly assist with the unexplained voices on ‘Help Me Doctor, Please‘.

House of Weirdos is a four-piece The Bronx, New York-based indie funk-rock band. They are a highly experienced act who keep the humor light and full of laughs, as they showcase their electric energy with a terrific track here.

With highly expressive vocals which are finely tuned and featuring a chorus which will have you singing along, this is an entertaining track with lots of heart and shows us their likable style, which is easy to see on this funny single.

Help Me Doctor, Please‘ from The Bronx, New York-based indie funk-rock band House of Weirdos, is a tremendously fun track which tells the story of needing to go for help, but leaving really quickly with the gloves come out for further inspection. On a catchy beat with lots of action on these exciting visuals, this is a track to play to take the edge off serious life decisions, which can really drag you down into the grumpy dumps.

House of Weirdos want to take us all to ‘Happy Hour’

As the world, slowly, emerges from lockdown and enforced abstinence (uh-huh), the possibility of an ice cold beer actually in a bar or pub becomes tantalising close; with new single ‘Happy Hour’, the House of Weirdos – a collective of lifelong friends with a bunch of common likes from Pink Floyd to Abbot and Costello – take us on a mythical drinking session of mildly jazzy folk-pop and danceable silliness. The addition of Mary Knapp on accordion and multilingual backing vocals adds a certain additional Bavarian charm to the track, but this is fun, enjoyable lockdown music created by a bunch of musicians who are clearly just enjoying what they do, and that comes across – clearly – in the music.

Embrace your insanity with House of Weirdos’ timely Alt Rock hit ‘Climbing up the Walls’

On Christmas Eve, the adept alchemists of Alt Rock, House of Weirdos, delivered the ultimate antidote to the claustrophobic restlessness with their Psychedelically-layered Garage Rock track ‘Climbing Up the Walls’.

If you could imagine what Queens of the Stone Age would sound like if they incorporated more absurdity, chaos and psychotropic synths into their sound, you might be able to get an idea of what is on offer. Yet, Climbing up the Walls could easily enamour fans of everyone from the Misfits to The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster.

Climbing up the Walls is façade-less, it’s relentlessly ingenious, it’s a visceral invitation to shake off pretence and relinquish shame for the fact that 2020 did a number on your mental health.

The playfully despondent track was made even sweeter with the pairing of the music video which will fill you with gratitude for House of Weirdos, just one of the irreplaceable artists who looked into the stir-crazed frustration and found inspiration so we could be hit with that invaluable feeling of connection and resonance.
