Teck-Zilla, JXXIII, Quinja, Sentence, Yada and Reespect ignited a sonic revolution of empowerment in their collaborative hit, Naija Women

Naija Women by JXXIII, Quinja, Sentence, Yada, Reespect

Teck-Zilla’s latest hit, Naija Women, is an explosive celebration of culture and empowerment that carves out space for female strength in a rap landscape often skewed against it.

Produced by Nigerian-born, UK-based Teck-Zilla, the track brings together five Nigerian rappers—JXXIII, Quinja, Sentence, Yada, and Reespect—each brings their own mesmeric energy to the mic as the beat cuts like a razor through the lush, atmospheric production, making way for the quintet’s undeniable talent to shine through.

The dynamic interplay between the artists results in a juxtaposition of soul and fiery passion, making it impossible to settle on a single emotion; instead, you’re left in awe of how these women hold their own, spitting bars with confidence and unapologetic resilience.

For every woman who has ever fought hard just to be heard, Naija Women is a powerful reminder to never stop trying to reshape oppressive narratives.

Naija Women was officially released on September 9th and is now available to stream and purchase via Bandcamp.

Skyqru delivered the permission to ‘Let Go’ in their latest mellow trap hit.

The LA/Vegas alt-hip hop collective, Skyqru, formed during the most uncertain months of the pandemic in 2020 to uplift the world while locking horns with socio-political issues and breaking the stigma of personal issues.

After the success of their debut album, Pollution, they’ve dropped their single, Let Go, which is well on its way to going viral with over 33k streams on Spotify alone since the recent release. The mellow indie trap track takes a compassionate approach to unshackle you from things that no longer serve you. Skyqru truly is the Elliott Smith of hip hop with their soft melodies, ethereal atmosphere and raw lyricism.

It is always perceptible how much artists throw themselves into their music; you’d be hard-pressed to find other rap artists that personally and honestly invest so heavily in their craft. It is no surprise that their sound is garnering so much attention.

Let Go is available to stream on Spotify.

The dynamic collective of emcees, High Frequency, have released their seminally sweet RnB pop track, Part Ways.

High Frequency’s latest single, ‘Part Ways’, is potentially the sweetest RnB pop breakup track to have ever hit the airwaves. Between the melodic sticky sweet indie instrumentals, the sentimental lyrics which run through the inner turmoil that transpired in spite of the affection and the velvety smooth vocals, you’d need to be dead from the soul down not to feel the weight in this frankly genius hit.

High Frequency is a music collective featuring five true-to-their-own-style emcees who respectively bring their hometown influence to the table, resulting in a mash of Memphis rap, NYC grooves, 90s hip hop flows, modern trap styles and modern gospel roots. We can’t wait to hear more infatuation-worthy tracks from this powerhouse of a collective.

Part Ways is due for official release on November 6th. You can check it out for yourselves on SoundCloud.

Making you blue: GRNBRIER show us the future with exceptional debut track ‘HUH?’

GRNBRIER drop debut track ‘HUH?‘ and this exhilarating new single will leave you gasping for air at the tasty creative juices that are clearly abundant here.

Vernon Hills, Chicago indie five-piece Hip Hop collective GRNBRIER mesh their tight beats and wild kick flips to ear-catching levels- as they rip the mic off its hinges with a top performance to leave you licking your lips for more.

Lead by Love Seat, they are on a carefully planned music mission to get their music heard to all corners of the globe with their catchy rap melodies and authentic style.

The groovy lo-fi-type beat gets you into the mood right away and you can’t help clicking your fingers. There is lots to like here as the Hip Hop energy is so smooth like a freshly shaved bald head.

This is a group with so much soul and the chorus will be stuck in your head all day due to the curiously catchy vibe and electric vibration that lights you up out of this dark slumber.

This is the story about caring so much for someone but they are just not showing you the same love all the time. They just want to be with you when they want but otherwise they shade you like an umbrella. All you want is to be happy but they are making you blue and its affecting your mood as you try and stay positive.

HUH?‘ from Chicago outfit GRNBRIER is a fresh new perspective on the Hip Hop genre that has slowly started to go stale like off milk in your fridge. This is instead a revitalization- so fresh and nice, you will be looking and listening twice.

Hear this fine new song on Spotify and see more visuals on IG.

Even though there’s plenty of grind, momentum and conviction which pours from Seasons, the downtempo pacing and inventive production style transform the mix into a distinctively hypnotic feat of Hip Hop.

With each of the four artists including Shmobandie, AldeezDaGreat, WestMoDollaz and Dubsandup bringing a different vocal dynamic to the mix, each progression in the soundscape feels as fresh as the last.
