Herringbone speak to the sinners in their classic rock revivalist debut single, Soloman’s Song

Herringbone’s debut single, Soloman’s Song, is a classic rock to the core exploration of shame, secrecy, and repentance that will throw you right back to the most iconic era of sunset strip glam rock.

The upbeat track raucously unravels through the momentum its overdriven lead guitars that amplify the cheeky swagger in the lead vocals, which are joined by choral female backing vocals. The feminine energy and shimmering organ keys take this renegade rock revival to a spiritually enrapturing level.

When they talk about music being the best medicine, they must be alluding to the enlivening aural elixir that runs through this stellar rock track which is enough to make you pious to the prowess of Herringbone. Now that a decent live show is beyond Axl Rose, it’s time to embrace Herringbone.

Embrace Little Villains in all of their Machiavellian metal glory in their latest single, Spitfire

War, what is it good for? Influencing pit-worthy hard rock hits such as Spitfire from the UK’s loudest and heaviest outfit, Little Villains. Their Machiavellian nature is exhibited in all of its frenetic glory in the instrumentally Motorhead-Esque release, taken from their fourth studio album, BATTLE OF BRITAIN.

Spitfire is a rarity in its ability to offer the classic raw rock n roll production while enticing you with the fresh innovation exhibited by each member of the powerhouse. Even the staunchest hard rock fans won’t be able to eye roll to having heard this all before with the catchy cataclysmic furore in Spitfire, which compels you to catch it live. Luckily, Little Villains are touring their 10-track album through late 2022 and early 2023 – you won’t want to miss it.

The Salfordian duo, Yakumama, scuzzed it up for their garage rock debut, Let Me Out Alive

‘Let Me Out Alive’ is the scuzzy indie garage rock debut single from the enigmatically volatile Salfordian duo, Yakumama. They’ve already caught the attention of Radio X with their promising debut that carries the buzz and the bounce of Mudhoney, the effortlessly cool swagger of Kyuss and the efficaciously sharp hooks that demand repeat attention.

The Manchester music scene has been crying out for new artists that rock the indie assimilator apple cart with their off-kilter ingenuity. Yakumama does exactly that with their post-punk nuances and the chaos that breeds at the mercy of their guitar pedals and their vicious power-pop vocal lines.

We already can’t wait to hear what is in the pipeline after this gothy plea for hope and mercy that was written to shake listeners out of moving with the tide.

Hana Piranha showed their razor-sharp teeth in her latest storming slice of alt-rock, Fucked Up Feeling. Their artful approach to rock is shared by few, and their ability to become larger than life through her searing hot pop-rock vocal lines is matchless.

As Fucked Up Feeling unfolds, you’ll break through walls of guitars and synth and use Ryan Brown’s percussion as a guide through the track that is expressly not for the faint of heart. Lyrically, Hana Piranha calls upon your shadow side while forewarning the dangers of hedonistic indulgence. In their own words, “it is a relentless anthem of self-destruction”. It’s worryingly relatable and just as head-bang-able is anything Slipknot have done.

The alt-rock powerhouse, Silence in Surrender, is ‘Coming Up’ in the first single to be released from their forthcoming album.

South West London’s riffiest prodigal sons of hard rock, Silence in Surrender, have teased what it is to come in their forthcoming album with the release of the first single, Coming Up.

As soon as I hit play, the virtuosic furore shunted me right back to the early 00s metal and hard rock scene; as the dynamic track progresses, they keep the instrumental curveballs coming with the infusion of thrash and the Seattle sound.

I never thought I would see the day when a track could appease fans of Mastodon, Bring Me the Horizon, Faith No More, Velvet Underground and Pixies simultaneously, but Silence in Surrender delivered that and a whole lot more with Coming Up. It appears that they’re the only one that got the memo about bringing the sex appeal back to rock too – the guitar solos should come with an X-Rating.

One Man Electrical Band amped up the voltage with their politically-charged hard rock single ‘Sign of the Times’

One Man Electrical Band

One Man Electrical Band® (OMEB®) has been taking the Cincinnati music scene by storm since 2003 with his futuristic spin on classic hard rock. With his latest single ‘Sign of the Times’, he hooked up with rock royalty, Vinny Appice (drums) and Steve Stratton (bass) to create an eye-opening juggernaut of a single.

We all know those snobby rock musos, don’t we? The ones who will disagree with any rock made in the 21st-century, Sign of the Times puts those pretentiously-formed opinions to shame.

With an old school Sabbath touch to the vocals, layers of atmosphere akin to what you’d hear in a Ministry track and politically-charged awakening lyrics, Sign of the Times hits the spot in every way possible. One Man Electrical Band’s talent easily parallels the collaborative artist’s, given that Vinny Appice drummed for DIO and Sabbath, it’s no surprise that One Man Electrical Band has shared stages with Journey, Motley Crue and KISS.

On the basis of the guitar solo, Sign of the Times should probably come with an X-rating along with a 5-star rating.

Musicismost have unleashed their stormer of an alt-rock track ‘Pheromone Too (Hard Mix)’

Plenty of artists made their debut in 2020; but for London-based alt-rock artist, Musicismost, their debut was 40 years in the making.

The powerhouse first started jamming in the 80s, but it wasn’t until last year that they decided to let the world hear their high-energy approach to timeless rock. Judging by the phenomenal reception of their debut single, ‘Pheromone Too’, released on November 17th, the world was eager and waiting.

Just two months on from the debut, Pheromone Too had racked up over 100,000 streams on Spotify alone, and Musicismost has already left fans insatiable for their fresh, catchy and high-octane sound.

Before treating us to the second release from their forthcoming album, which will be released in full in Autumn 2021, they released ‘Pheromone Too (Hard Mix)’ which amplifies the over-driven energy contained in the original track which was mastered by multi-Grammy-award-winning producer, Howie Weinberg. With the producer responsible for Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ at their disposal, it comes as no surprise that Pheromone Too is a flawlessly radio-ready rock earworm.

Fans of 80s hair metal and modern alt-rock alike will want to delve into the sleazy track which holds fleeting reminiscences to Motley Crue, Poison, and Skid Row.

Rise in Veins – UNSAID: Hook-Filled Melodic Hard Rock

‘UNSAID’ is the latest sonically infectious track from Canadian Hard Rock artist Rise in Veins, the verses may be filled with caustic momentum, but when the chorus hits, the melodicism of the scathingly high-energy release takes hold.

Rise in Veins succeeded in layering a dark gritty sense of despondency within their sound while providing an upbeat anthem to find catharsis within. UNSAID both validates and absolves frustration as the compassionately commanding vocals run through against the tight synergy of the instrumentals; definitively proving that the Hard Rock powerhouse is a force to be reckoned with.

Any fans of Godsmack, Drowning Pool and Seether are definitely going to want to pay Rise in Veins some attention. Their signature take on hard rock is exactly what the airwaves needs in 2021. It’s visceral and ardent enough to shatter any sense of ennui which you may find yourself in before you hit play.

The Revies – Los Invisibles: American Rock Just Got Its Bite Back

I was uncertain if I could love the sound more than the wordplay in the latest track “Los Invisibles” from LA-based Rock artist The Revies. Yet, once I got a taste of the raunchy, punchy, eager sound which The Revies had manifested through their high-octane performance, it became apparent that their linguistic ingenuity is easily outshone by their ability to orchestrate a captivatingly immersive Rock hit.

Any fans of Stone Sour will definitely want Los Invisibles on their playlists. The production couldn’t be higher, the distinction allows you to hear the authenticity and there’s no disputing that The Revies is a force to be reckoned with.

It may have been a while since I’ve been to a gig, but I’m fairly sure that The Revies is exactly the kind of band who would leave your mind blown and your neck sore if you got the pleasure of seeing them live.

Crown and the Doubt bring the salacious sleaze with latest single “Dirty Little Secret”

Enough time has passed since The All-American Rejects’ iconic track “Dirty Little Secret”, so Alt-Rock faction Crown and the Doubt have paid their own ode to sordidness with their viscerally electric latest single.

As acclaimed as The All-American Rejects were/are, they don’t seem to possess a fraction of the talent which you will hear in the colossally tight heavy and sleazy Rock instrumentals. But it’s with the vocals where Crown and the Doubt really set themselves apart. They’d give Buckcherry a run for their money when it comes to salacious sleaze.
