A New Perspective: Germany-based producer H2whoa finds inspiration with new surroundings on ‘Changing Spots’

With a mind-bending release so inventive your subconscious will be fizzing with ideas on what is actually contained in this parcel of treats, H2whoa is at his best with a marvellous effort that might have you looking deeply at the sky above as you plot your next move on ‘Changing Spots‘.

H2whoa is a non-fortune-seeking indie-electronic music producer, pianist, violinist, and guitarist, who has recently moved from the UK to Germany. This is an artist who is here for different reasons to most, as this scientist-by-day makes a web of joyful sounds to be inspired by.

I have no illusions of being a famous musician. I just love making music that I enjoy. I also love the idea that there might be other people who enjoy listening to what I create. I choose to remain anonymous because all I really care about is making music for myself and finding an audience for it, rather than for me as a person.” ~ H2whoa

Featuring different elements from his varied love of diverse genres, H2whoa is a rare musician who you don’t hear very often. Mysteriously, he is face-hidden away from the world – which is just the way he likes it – as this is a track that will have you in a thoughtfully inventive mood and contemplating about doing things you have left on the dusty shelf for too long.

Changing Spots‘ from the multi-skilled Germany-based indie electronic music producer and scientist H2whoa is a fantastic new single that is almost triumphant in nature, as he turned around the gloom from moving into a country during a torrid lockdown, to truly find his own sound.

Winning when the chips are down and avoiding carnage flying into your soul, is a truly impressive display from any possible viewpoint.

Zach Butler has made his funked-up blues debut with ‘Selfish’.

Some artists try to portray themselves as icons, and some become iconic through their instant accessibility; Zach Butler safely and funkily falls into the latter camp. His debut single, Selfish, is a soulfully rendered feat of experimentalism that finds its vibrancy by grasping at the roots of blues and ripping them out in grooves that are almost technical enough to resonate as avant-garde.

Even though there’s plenty of distinction to grasp through the lyrics and vocals that carry the charisma of a cult leader, the guitars are on a whole other level. As soon as he starts to play in the progressively choppy despite being smooth single, you get the sense that he carries a deep passion for the technicalities of expression. The up and coming Atlanta-based artist takes influence from the guitar styles of Stevie Ray Vaughan and John Mayer. For songwriting influence, he looks to the likes of Stephen Day and Jordy Searcy.

Selfish is now available to stream on all major platforms via this link.

No Control: Pins has their excellent creation taken to another dimension on ‘Ghosting’ (Hard Dub Stal Mix)

As he ingenuously sauces up the breathtaking beat to keep us sipping on the delicious water like a thirsty kitty cat, Stal is at his best with the Pins track ‘Ghosting‘ (Hard Dub Stal Mix) that certainly raises the temperature to cooking hot.

Stal is a passionate and multi-talented self-taught Leeds, UK-based indie EDM music producer, pianist and guitarist, who has gotten back into music again after getting divorced.

The band Pins had the artistically innovative idea of releasing the stem files for their track Ghosting, so that anybody who wanted to could remix the song tracks and add their own feel.” ~ Stal

The unit-breaking speakers seem to shudder collectively in unison to a thunderbolt of electric rays from a different planet to ours – as this sonic experience only gets better and better throughout – while you look around and nod in approve at the mesmerized crowd who are sweaty and loving every moment of this powerfully constructed track.

Ghosting(Hard Dub Stal Mix) from Pins, is an I-can-control-myself type of track that is full of electric energy and flashing lights for us to delve deeper into. The mood is rather ominous and the silky energy is deep inside your carving bones, as the moody sound seems to warp wonderfully through your alert body to give you those excited chills.

This is a highly worthwhile remix from an artist who is back and not going anywhere else again.
