As an introduction, Kianna was formerly in the band Tilly and the Wall, touring alongside acts such as Jenny Lewis, She and Him, Bright Eyes, Rilo Kiley, Of Montreal, CSS and many more, appearing in major festivals such as Coachella, Summersonic in Japan, Iceland Airwaves and UK’s Reading and Leeds. Tilly and The Wall gained mainstream exposure when we performed on Late Night with David Letterman and landed an appearance on Sesame Street. Tilly also had songs in many successful commercials for companies such as Jaguar, Target, Bacardi, Vicks, and T-Mobile for their 2014 Super Bowl ad; as well as many films and TV shows such as Drew Berrymore’s directorial debut Whip It, and the CBS hit series The Good Wife.
Tilly eventually went on hiatus around 2013 and it was soon after that when Kianna met Jared White, the co-writer in Yes You Are, and together they set out to make fresh, edgy new pop music that would ride the line between what makes underground music so great and what makes pop music so attractive.
The song HGX was featured in the movie Bad Moms, as well as the FX series Tyrant and a recent Pepsi commercial. We are currently working on our debut album with Grammy Award winning producer/engineer Greg Collins, best known for his work with Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, Eels and KISS.
