JD3 rock with the brilliant ‘No Fools’

Northeast Indiana’s JD3  (The Jondo Trio) bring that good bluesy country on the sensible-seeking single ‘No Fools‘.

JD3, also/previously known as The Jondo Trio, are a southern rock swamp stomp powerhouse. Their live performances have earned them a cult following all over their travels. The gruff vocals grabs your attention and you get lost in the crowd with the excellent guitar riffs.

Originally a power trio in the vein of ZZ Top, in 2016, The Jondo Trio (Nate Mosley-guitar & vocals, Paul Osborn-drums, Stu Way-Bass) with the release of their 2nd album, Scraps From The Borderlands, added a fourth member (Chris Dafforn- keys & trumpet) and re-branded themselves as JD3.

JD3 performs primarily in the Midwest (they are based out of ) but have also developed a bit of a cult following in Europe which is so great to see. Their music style transcends borders and they sound hungry here.

With the release of their third album, ‘Something Good‘ recently, the band took a deeper dive into exploring their southern rock and r&b roots, showcasing their songwriting skills and deep groove. ‘Something Good‘ was released with both band names- JD3 & The Jondo Trio – to help fans of each of the prior albums to “find” each other. This is a strong release and is well-received.

The Browncoats rock in with the fun single ‘Katyusha’

The Browncoats are back with ‘Katyusha‘ and this is taken off their brand new EP called ‘Drunk‘.

Though the band have just released a new EP last fall, The Browncoats haven’t done any real touring since 2010. Most of their performance and hard copy CD sales were from the Comic Book Convention world during that time anyway.

Since then, their new song ‘Katyusha‘ (rendition of an old Russian folk song which was not particularly popular in that convention/nerd-rock world) has taken on a life of its own online with over 500,000 streams on Spotify. With such a fantastic reaction to this huge success, they feel like this is their time to become more well-known.

The bands goal for 2021 is to capitalize on that success and gain momentum enough to tour at regular music venues instead of Conventions. Then after that, the aim is to catch the ear of a decent record company that would be willing to help the band capitalize on this momentum.

Katyusha‘ is a fun song that is designed for those late nights the underrated The Browncoats. This can be turned up real loud and enjoyed with all the friends and new friends. The energy is alive and lots of fun is to be had here.

4-piece Brighton band Compliments rock in with their brand new single called ‘Roadblock‘.

Formed in 2020 and brought together by the band Gods as a way of freshening up the music scene. This is all about escapism and that feeling encapsulated 2020 in a nutshell. The feeling of being trapped all inside and looking outside by the window.

Roadblock‘ is a rocking indie-rock soundtrack that needs to be in a Netflix series. There is bite here, an edge to this young UK band. For a new team, they are in-sync like a glove that fits your hand, they are on the right side of time here. They might be the wrong side of the road and clock in this one lyric-wise but their emergence is met with real excitement.

Brighton band Compliments get better and better as the songs gears into the meaty part of the bone. There is lots to feed off here as they bands sound takes over. This is a terrific track that makes me listen again and again. Yes, this song is timeless and deserves lots of love. For a debut release, this is a great day to be alive.
