RICKY delivers ethereal futurism in his latest electronica track, ‘Absentee Landlord’

Ahead of his upcoming EP, Nottingham, UK-based artist and producer, RICKY created plenty of appetite for his modernistic, future bass  mixes with the release of his single, Absentee Landlord.

With angsty vocal samples thrown into the complex layers of pulsing indietronica around the future pop female vocals, you can’t help but be endeared by the personality on offer here. Although, you won’t quite be able to pinpoint at which moment your rhythmic pulses became interconnected with the trappy bass-soaked beats and hazy synth-driven melodies.

Before making his solo debut, RICKY was one-half of the electro-punk outfit Battlecat; the duo toured alongside Two Door Cinema Club, Future Islands, Hadouken and plenty more before disbanding due to personal commitments.

With his solo project, Battlecat fans are sure to be appeased, but there’s an inexplicable ingenuity to his recent material that is sure to leave you hooked.

Absentee Landlord is now available to stream via SoundCloud.

Bryten explores retrospective regret with her progressive electro-pop single, Where Would I Be.

Since releasing her debut single, Without Me, in 2019, up and coming pop singer-songwriter, Bryten has given pop fans plenty to get excited about with her compassionate and candid releases. After the release of her latest single, Where Would I Be, there has never been a better time to jump on Bryten’s high-vibe sound that is grounded in empowerment and sincere emotion.

Where Would I Be unravels through questioning introspection, regretful for time wasted on people that made that time living hell, but emboldening through the recognition that suffering leads to strength. It’s a powerful track that starts as a postcard to 90s pop before transgressing into a bass-riding visceral feat of future pop. If you can relate to the lyrics, you’ll find resilient euphoria in every crescendo in Where Would I Be.

Where Would I Be is now available to stream via Spotify.

Ben Alexander x Ida Stein – Motions: Glacially Entrancing Future Pop

For his latest release, Norway-residing artist and producer Ben Alexander collaborated with the enigmatically unique artist and vocalist Ida Stein to create a chilling feat of future pop.

With effect-laden vocals that will feel familiar to any fans of Mindinabox and breakdowns that resonate with your senses on a practically primal level, becoming immersed in the bass-swathed mix is non-optional. Despite the chill of their geography lowering the temperature in Motions, there’s an inexplicable, soulfully infused sense of warmth to the release that resonates through Alexander’s African percussion style.

You can check out the official music video to Motions via YouTube, or you can add the mesmerising mix to your playlists by heading over to Spotify.

Electro-pop duo Atomic Berries reclaim euphoria in their latest single ‘Relive the Moment’

Electro-pop duo Atomic Berries’ latest single, Relive the Moment, is steadily racking up the streams since its release on April 23rd; the raw-emotion-packed dance track was made for the dancefloor. But if you need a shot of euphoria ASAP, grab your headphones and experience the collective sense of nostalgia that inspired the single.

Through the build ups, breaks and everything in between, there’s an arresting intensity to Relive the Moment. It is so much more than your average lip service ‘high-vibe track; it captures the visceral nature of yearning for the past when the present leaves you disillusioned. If you can’t relate to that after the year that we have endured, your soul may be defunct.

With the stunning cinematic edge to Juniper’s vocals and the retro-future grooves in the mix, courtesy of producer Mike Midas, the duo will take the live scene by storm in 2021 with their grinding techno beats, synthesised crescendos and catchy lyrics.

Dilemma has released his ensnaring alt-electronica mix, ‘Moments’.

https://soundcloud.com/dilemmaca/moments

Even with EDM being the hardest genre to establish authenticity within, up and coming artist Dilemma discernibly didn’t fail, with his recently released single, ‘Moments’. His intoxicating mash of synth-pop, future bass and disco put you on a sonic trajectory right from the intro; from there on out, it’s a sonic whirlwind of intense hyper emotion.

When you get to the breaks, Dilemma deftly delivers that essential feeling of catharsis when tension erupts into euphoria. With sax solos, glitchy white noise and veraciously ensnaring beats all weaved into the intricately layered and textured mix, all reminiscence to Dilemma is extremely fleeting.

After being involved in an accident that left all five of Dilemma’s senses in a state of hypersensitivity, music allowed Dilemma to find purpose after everything else felt meaningless. The amount of love poured into his releases is practically unparalleled. Moments will make you think twice about delving into releases that offer any less than the exuberant passion that you will find right here.

Moments is now available to stream via SoundCloud.

Debrah Jade has released her funk-fuelled hyper-pop single, Nobody But You.

‘Nobody But You’ is the latest fierce feat of  hyperpop left on the airwaves by the breakthrough artist Debrah Jade. After racking up hundreds of thousands of streams since making her debut in 2018 with her single, ‘Drenched in Love’, Jade has stayed true to her signature funk-fuelled, disco-pop affectionate style that unapologetically reminds her listeners of their capacity to feel.

Hit play on Nobody But You, and you won’t just hear Jade’s optimistic disposition; you will be inclined to share it. We may have all collectively endured the most trying times in living history. But the presence of resoundingly visceral voices, such as Debrah Jade’s that remind you of the time when Houston and Turner were the reigning queens of pop, bring back a sense of normality.

Nobody But You is now available to stream via Spotify.

Throw away your saviour complex with Justine Eltakchi’s hyperpop single, ‘Demons’.

Justine Eltakchi

If you find that the average perennial pop earworm lacks bite, get acquainted with the teeth in the flawless futurepop earworm, ‘Demons’, by Justine Eltakchi.

After a productive 2020, which saw the singer-songwriter releasing two EPs and six singles, 2021 shows a different side of Justine Eltakchi. Her latest single brings forth a darker, more experimental hyperpop sound that isn’t afraid to lyrically rip right through to the core of suffering as the instrumentals echo the mental instability before the final crescendo that illustrates that breakthrough when the black cloud finally shifts.

Demons is a single that compels the listener to put themselves first and throw away the saviour complex. Considering that there is a fair amount of women out there lusting over serial killers with the belief that they can ‘fix’ them, Demons is an essential track.

VALE takes us on a journey with debut single ‘Outrun The Sun’

The debut single from Brighton-based artist VALE, ‘Outrun The Sun’, was produced entirely in lockdown and totally DIY – but that’s not to understate the quality or the passion here. Growing up in Switzerland and a classically trained pianist Vale wrote her first song aged six, but her passion for electronic and pop music came to the fore as she studied composition and songwriting at Brighton’s Institute of Modern Music.

‘Outrun The Sun’ is a cute little electronic-pop single in the style of Sia, Billy Eilish, or Dua Lipa; a more subdued verse and then upbeat, catchy chorus with a nice little hook on the ‘what if we outrun the sun’ vocal line. It’s a great little summery pop song, instantly familiar and with that proper ear-worm quality that means you can’t help humming it for hours after listening. Expect to hear a lot more of Vale in the coming months.

‘Outrun The Sun’ is out now; you can hear it on Spotify. Follow Vale on Facebook or Instagram.

REMY QUINN – Make U Happy featuring Haley Warner

‘Make U Happy’ is the fourth single released by the up and coming Chicago-residing pop artist and producer REMY QUINN in collaboration with vocalist Haley Warner. If your summer pop playlists need shaking up, they will get a seismic shift in cool with Make U Happy.

The urban dance-pop track comes with polished production, but there is still enough room for the intimate indie vibes to breathe through the short and sweet mix that finds the perfect balance of energy. Make U Happy delivers plenty of affectionate passion. Yet, Haley Warner delivers the lyrics with a touch of realist reservation, accentuating the organic feel of the stylish release. Make U Happy is the kind of authentic pop that the airwaves has been crying out for. It is the antithesis of plastic pop music.

Make U Happy is now available to stream via Spotify.
