Floridian Hip Hop artist, Sammi Sosa, started to find his feet in the underground in 2020, in 2021. His unique melodic approach to rap is set to take him to new heights. His latest single ‘Reckless’ featuring Forever will have plenty to do with his ascention.

With an ambient electronica prelude, you’ll instantly be drawn into the atmospherically-layered mix which drips with serenity; there’s an arrestive contrast between the sedative reverb-softened beats and Sammi Sosa’s grinding hook-filled bars. Plenty of new artists fall in the trap of assimilating popular Rap artists. Not Sammi Sosa. His fearlessness when it came to using his natural charisma allowed his authentic talent to shine through in Reckless. We’re already stoked to hear what urban earworms are in the pipeline.

Keep your mind open: Neves drops thought-provoking smash single ‘Liars’

Neves rips through the mainstream conversation on his hard-hitting new single, that stimulates you to think differently to what they say on TV via ‘Liars‘.

Neves is a formidable underground Trap/Metal/Hip-Hop artist from Daytona Beach, Florida, who unleashes his inner thoughts to what is really going on in the world- with a barrage of fiercely unleashed raps that makes him stand out from the rest. He makes that rare music to help others open their minds to more than what is staring at you in the face. By educating and teaching us to trust our gut, he is the modern day street poet that remains hidden and just heard by those that dig deep for new music.

Tay Drummond sings with such honesty on the breakup anthem for our minds to think deeply about on ‘Toxic‘.

Formally from Wisconsin, Tay Drummond is a Florida-based RnB/Soul singer-songwriter that is making big moves. He has recently learnt that lots of patience is needed to truly succeed at anything you set your mind to in life. Talent is great to have but without patience, you won’t really reach your goals.

He sings of a story that so many of us can relate to. You are with the wrong person and only now do you realize this. You thought they were all yours but you now know that the time to end things is now as they are so toxic for your soul. The trust is gone and the core is now broken.

With a passionate vocal performance, he sings about needing to take a long break from someone that you once loved. The beat is heavy but never overbearing and this is the type of song that makes an impression with fans all over the world. With more music like this, it shouldn’t be too long until a label snaps him up, as the quality is so easy to hear.

Pushing positive energy to the universe: ‘Better Believe It’ from Ether is a song about backing yourself

Fort Myers, Florida based emcee Ether brings us a Hip Hop track all about knowing that the time to shine is now, not later. His smooth flow flourishes on a mellow beat that hits the spot just right. The is a musician that speaks on positive vibes and is not a fan of that corny rap beef that often overshadows the genre that loses way too many lives; for reasons that are very petty and could be avoided.

He is on a mission to get that bread so he can feed his family and the hunger steams so deliciously into our souls. With excellent visuals on the music video, we are brought into a world of a creative on the rise.

There is energy of warmth here that looms large like a sunny day after a massive thunderstorm. His lyrical prowess is something to behold as he keeps things clear and simple. This is his time to shine so he can empower his community.

Florida emcee Ether shows his awareness with what he needs to do in life and isn’t concerned with anyone else besides those close to him. With a quality lyrical ability that is showcased vividly on ‘Better Believe It’. A song that promotes togetherness and teaching the youth on how it should done, this is the guiding light that the Hip Hop community needs at the moment. Backed with his self-confidence and willing to put in the hard work to make the journey successful; this is a combination that is tough to dislike.

The Supplements vibe in on the reflective new single ‘On Your Own‘.

This is a supremely gifted South Florida based indie rock band who are hot in the scene with their indie-rock vibes. I love this video as it showcases all of the musicians and their clear skill level.

The Alternative rock band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida send us a radical music  video which is so funky and fresh. Shot in various locations over a day in Miami by Matheus Nogueira, you can tell that this was done right.

With a groovy-deliciously made start, this revs into gear really quickly. A story about meeting a girl at the bar who was all alone. Your eyes soon meet and things get interesting. You turn the other way as you aren’t too sure about this situation. Perhaps you know things won’t work or you are seeing if she is really into you?

South Florida rock band The Supplements are on top form here with their ‘On Your Own‘. This is a top act who make that music that makes you wanna dance.

Luis “Quince” Quintero aka QuinceLu is back with ‘5G Towers‘ Ft. Charlie Sky (Prod. By Cxdy).

Coral Springs, Florida-based emcee QuinceLu is a Colombian-born immigrant rapper. After coming into the country as an undocumented alien, QuinceLu has embraced his illegal background to distinguish himself as a rising and respected music artist.

With a sound mirroring his foreign image, he draws influence from his surroundings and what he sees before him.

With a breath of fresh air, ‘5G Towers‘ from QuinceLu is a trap track that gives your heart a good wack to get you in the mood. This is new school Hip Hop that reflects the worries of the younger generation. The world got too fast too quick and we need to catch up. I like the consistent energy here and the flows are all tight. This is perfect for cruising around with the homies.

Tallahassee’s Cole Evander drops dope flow on new single ”To Be Continued”

Matthew Denny aka Cole Evander is a US artist from Port Charlotte in Florida. He picked up the passion for songwriting when he was 13 and wrote short jingles for middle school projects. The sound has changed and his latest track ”To Be Continued” is a welcome addition to his growing music collection.

With a solid bass injection at the start thanks to the expertly produced beat by Farro Jarro,  ”To Be Continued” from Tallahassee based emcee Cole Evander is a fine Hip Hop track all about getting in the flow. The mantra is that there is a no fly zone for nonsense right now.

”To Be Continued” is a teaser track from Cole Evander as he is letting us know that his time to shine globally is coming. This is the time to build up, learn and making those huge moves are on the way. Patience is the game now and sticking to the plan while also remaining flexible.

Micah Sheveloff shares introspective story of life with ”Guns and Cigarettes”

Micah Sheveloff is a Boston-born pianist and also a fine singer-songwriter. He has creatively merged a classical music foundation with a unique feel for popular music. Sheveloff has been a regular performer at venues across New York and is slowly establishing himself as a force on the scene. Recently he has relocated to Saint Petersburg in Florida where he continues to fine tune his craft.

”Guns and Cigarettes” is a fine track and showcases Micah’s strong voice and natural music talent. His piano solo’s are quite sumptuously created to wet our music ears with some excellent melodies.

Micah Sheveloff is a quality talent and the Florida based artist is on the right track here. ”Guns and Cigarettes” is quite a sad song and the choices that we can make or break our lives. Taken off his latest EP- “The Florida Man”, ”Barns, Babes, and Bourbon” follows the same popular formula as his previous music to much success. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?

Florida native Brandon Bing knows what he likes and depicts this perfectly with descriptive lyrics and a happy-go-lucky attitude to life that makes him feel down to earth and likable. ”Barns, Babes, and Bourbon” is an American winner, due to the simple strategy of getting folks onto the dance floor, and enjoying the evening. Keeping things simple is something the world needs more of and Brandon is a perfect guide to this path.

Likeable Florida Rapper Reek Geeked brings out positive summer Hip Hop track with “I Got Flavor”

Brought up in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida and currently in Titusville- MC ‘Reek Geeked’ is creating quite a name for himself. With a smooth flow and by being himself, he has a solid formula going that is sure working. His strategy is smart as he is slowly building up and featuring on bigger and bigger shows.

Never a hater, the Florida rapper speaks about supporting friends and motivating instead of hating. The Hip Hop game is a fickle place, with artists going from being huge to nobodies in a matter of months. With fun and consistent music out all the time, he is doing all the right things. With a few tweaks, for example by making a Facebook music page, he will see the results. I guess all the kids are on Instagram or TikToc these days, so it doesn’t matter anyway.

Music-wise, ‘Reek Geeked’ has a good music style and I found myself bouncing to this track and it would be a perfect ride-along song with the homies cruising around, headed to the beach or club.
