California hard rockers Fastride speeds up on a road that has a ‘Devil in Your Rearview’

Pulsating us with a song that might give you a comprehensive rush that will take your breath away, Fastride knows they need to get the speed on full to stay away from that dark force that can take your mind away from where you need to be focused on with, ‘Devil in Your Rearview‘.

Fastride is a Los Angeles, California-based 4-piece indie hard rock band formed by Ty Asoudegan who is also a session guitarist at Gemini Musiq.

Ty, who is an alumni of Berklee College of Music, started his musical journey in Philadelphia. Ty’s skills have been recognized early on in his career. He was the grand prize winner of a nationwide contest hosted by Slash and Guitar.” ~ Ty Asoudegan

Slashing the tires and getting us into a formidable headspace that is only focused on the here and now, Fastride sends us a picture of that race that we are all playing against ourselves in this rather strange world.

Since relocating to Southern California, Fastride has performed at many clubs in the LA area, such as The Whisky A Go Go, The Viper Room, & Molly Malone’s.” ~ Ty Asoudegan

Devil in Your Rearview‘ from Los Angeles, California-based indie hard rock band Fastride is a heavy single that slams right into your face and takes you into a geared-up mentality. With ferocious riffs that send you into a hair-raising psyche, this is a pacey new single that will have you revving up your engine – as you imagine getting away from something evil – that you want no connection with.

Sometimes you just need to get far away from those thoughts that you know will ultimately break you.

Fastride are taking us all the way to ‘Sin City’

Fastride cut their teeth on the USA’s East Coast, playing clubs and bars like the Whiskey and the Viper Room alongside such luminaries of the rock scene as Black Star Riders, Jake E Lee, Hookers & Blow, and Michael Graves (The Misfits); formed around lead guitarist Ty Asoudegan, an alumnus of Berkelee College of Music who’s been featured in Guitar Player Magazine and name-checked by none other than Guns n’ Roses’ Slash, new single ‘Sin City’ is down and dirty, gritty, no-frills rock n’ roll. Hard-riffing straight from the off, this is proper LA screaming vocals, overdriven guitars, and thundering drums. There’s touches of ‘Slave To The Grind’-era Seb Bach to the vocals, the obligatory rip-snorting guitar break – all pinched harmonics and staccato muted flurries, trills, and hammer-on/pull-off runs – and a shouty, gang-vocal chorus. It’s the essence of 1980’s debauchery – sleazy, trashy, swathed in bandanas and black leather, and reeking of Marlboro and Jack’n’Cokes. Rock and very much roll.

LA-based Fastride slide with rock anthem ”Tire Slayer”

The LA-based Fastride impress yet again with a power rock anthem called ”Tire Slayer” that is polished and catches their irrepressible energy perfectly. This is an excellent act that are on the forefront of rock music that is current but also carries with it, that stunning old-school rock sound.

Ty Asoudegan, who studied at Berklee College of Music, is the leader and the powerful guitarist/songwriter. He is active with his band Fastride and also as a solo blues musician that performs nationally. Ty’s work as a touring musician has led him to share the stage with so many quality artists. He has also pursued teaching since leaving school, but does not limit his lessons to only the classroom. Ty leads ensembles, week long camps, and hosts clinics/seminars at School of Rock locations in the Los Angeles Area. This is a true music fan that wants and does give back to the music community.

Tire Slayer’‘ slides in with much gusto and is one of the standout rock tracks of 2020. The up-tempo power and splendid riffs shows the quality of this fine band. Fastride just want to rock out and must be itching to jam for their fans live again.
