Rampaging Metal: California’s Sound Animal brings the scorching heat with ‘Botulism Cafe’

Shredding the walls down one by one with a totally intoxicating ambiance that shall heighten all your inner senses out of any self-enforced slumber, Sound Animal ravages our previously-innocent ears with his latest track ‘Botulism Cafe‘.

Sound Animal is a California-based and self-described experimental noise/drone/desert/doom Instrumental metal solo artist.

Botulism Cafe is Noise Metal. Dirty, farty grit to have fun kicking out walls with. Ballsy dissonance from an apartment bedroom.” ~ Sound Animal

There is a fiery explosion of blaring sounds from a truly possessed artist who is in the prime of his career – with the gusting winds of creativity roaring down on him – like a hungry Lion who needs a snack right now as his belly rumbles furiously. The ear-piercing energy is quite overwhelming at times, with a booming speaker-breaking force that is unlike anything heard so far in 2021.

Botulism Cafe‘ from the experimental dark doom California-based solo artist Sound Animal, is an almost eight minute experience that shall have your over-stimulated mind feeling rather enraptured with this whole experience. This is loud, brash and in your face, with no let ups for a breath at all. Exactly the way it was intended after all.

Eyes Collide: Electrifying Atlanta singer Norwood dazzles our senses alive with that sexy ‘Morning Light’

Recorded in both Atlanta and London during this horrific pandemic which has wreaked the world to its core, Norwood chose to use this time to be creative despite the closed doors as he opens up the ceiling to let in the crisp air of the sizzling ‘Morning Light‘.

Norwood is an Atlanta, Georgia-based experimental-hyper pop/EDM artist who bravely explores important topics about sexuality, empowerment, positive energy, cultural diversity, and creating an atmosphere of only inspiring vibes for the world to embrace.

Recorded in the midst of the pandemic, Norwood and producer Antunes collaborated virtually to make this EDM magic thousands of miles apart.” ~ Norwood

This is a sensual experience from an artist in his prime, as he flexes his vocals in such a romantic way and without too much effort. Everything seems to be so fresh and sexy – with a cheeky eye contact that leads you into this sexy story – about two hearts who just want to be together and feel safe in each others arms.

Morning Light‘ from the flourishing Atlanta, Georgia-based experimental-hyper pop artist Norwood, is that this-love-is-hard-to-explain type of vibe, as the steamy beat and passionately toned vocals has you feeling rather uplifted. Another Way: Ireland’s MOVMENT enthusiastically seeks the undeniable truth on ‘Propaganda’

As their new album ‘TRANSFORMATION‘ approaches with an expected 2nd December 2021 release date set, MOVMENT drop the first single which is rather ominously named ‘Propaganda‘.

MOVMENT is an experimental indie alt-rock band from the beautiful shores of Ireland. They make that truthfully advanced soundscape which seeks to educate us all, so that we may truly be informed.

Sung with a slightly frustrated tone as the world feels like it is burning currently, the band gives us a inside look into what is real, fake or in-between the blood-soaked lines. Their style is intensely rugged here and the book is totally open, as they go Neo-like and attempt to find Morpheus so that everything may be explained in a way that makes total sense.

Propaganda‘ from the conscious Irish indie rockers MOVMENT, is a track all about wading through the confusion-riddled matrix to find that heart-glowing truth that you really seek. With so much misinformation out there for humanity to gobble up greedily without a second thought, this is the true message that so many need to hear. Do you own research, only trust viable sources and more importantly, don’t believe everything you read or hear.

The real story is inside somewhere, if you are open minded enough and ready to take your time to seek what is really going on.

I’m Old School: Portsmouth hip-hop artist OSD takes us back to the fun PS1 days on ‘THPS’

With a two cent coin old school feel that brings you so much nostalgic wonder through the hourglass of time, OSD heartily longs for those epic days when things where more simple and you had to turn on the modem with ‘THPS‘.

OSD is an alternative experimental hip-hop artist from the port city Portsmouth in the UK. He makes a blend of music which dusts off the cap from the good parts of the past, where things seemed so much simpler.

The OSD project is a world where thoughts and feelings are allowed to be expressed artistically through the power of music with no barriers.” ~ OSD

With quick-fire raps that slams right through your ears and into your mind to soak up introspectively, there is much to like from an artist who brings you back to a place in time that was rather special. As he forges a picture into our learning eyes that shows you what things were like in the 90’s – this true storyteller washes over our hearts calmly- and tells us how it was before we lost a part of ourselves to excessive habit.

OSD is a step into an introspective mind and place where genre boundaries are pulled down and musical experimentation is put into full effect.” ~ OSD

THPS‘ from the Portsmouth, UK-based experimental hip-hop solo act OSD, is a why-do-they-stare-at-their-screens moment which has you wondering why most of us have turned into social media junkies. With a zombie mentality that actually alienates those who see past it all – as we scroll again to avoid the FOMO – this is a flashback moment to playing PlayStation One and being happy about life before the internet took over.

If only we could all find our souls again and join together for one minute, to look up and see how beautiful this stunning world really is.

Petrokinetic – Rollercoaster Ride (Charli XCX / Alice Deejay Mashup Cover).

Moscow-based artist and producer Petrokinetic took some time out from creating his chaotic original mixes to mashup iconic tracks by Charli XCX and Alice DJ in his latest release, Rollercoaster Ride. Brace yourselves; it is full-blown bash of aural insanity.

The boundary-breaking maximalist’s sonic style was never cultivated to be comfortable. Instead, the artist stays true to his moniker and aims to hectically overwhelm his fans with his experimental energy. You have to hand it to him; you will find few aural experiences on the airwaves as visceral as this.

Petrokinetic’s mashup is now available to stream on SoundCloud.

You’re A Toaster In The Bathtub: Minneapolis experimental pop artist YYY reminds us that we need to get outside again with ‘And The Swords Don’t Bend’

With his debut album ‘Aquadungeonafterdark‘ due for official release on the 24th September 2021, YYY shows us that by being inside all the time and trying to reinvent the wheel, you are hiding away from those friends who miss you with ‘And The Swords Don’t Bend‘.

Austin Carson aka YYY, is a thriving Minneapolis, Minnesota-based indie genre-bending experimental pop artist.

Creating beautiful transitions between analog bass drones, psychedelic guitar riffs and vocal samples, YYY’s music maintains a lighthearted undertone that challenges the listener.” ~ YYY

Sung with a remarkable poise and true honesty, we are told a real story about the world that spins rather fast if we don’t experience it properly. With a uniquely succulent beat that enthralls you rather quickly and has your glowing body grooving in sheer delight – this is the type of music experience that is all about that ever-evolving creative mindset – which is so needed in this copy-cat world.

Austin has performed in the Minneapolis music scene as a solo artist and as part of other projects for the last six years.” ~ YYY

And The Swords Don’t Bend‘ from the experimental Minneapolis-based indie pop artist YYY, is the message that we all need to hear. Those projects you have been working on are highly important, but by avoiding being out in the world sometimes – we are actually avoiding the real world which we need to be a part of.

Made with a knowledgeable edge, we are washed thoughtfully into a tremendously self-aware track which has you reaching for those keys to see the earth for its immaculate beauty again.

Polyphonic Exophilia – ups et pertulerat: a progressive soul-funk serenade.

Vol. 2 by Polyphonic Exophilia

Norway-hailing music collective, Polyphonic Exophilia, describe their sound as sensual progressive alternative soul-funk, and it’s fair to say, if any bassline is going to leave you weak at the knees it is the one in the standout single, ups et pertulerat, from their EP, Vol.2.

Ups et pertulerat is the Latin phrase for ups and downs, and that’s exactly what the soundscape explores; if you constantly find yourself between mania and melancholy, you may just find that your tumultuous mind reflected at you through this exploratively engaging release.

The jazzy, tonally warm instrumental single is all about the bass-carved grooves and the colourful alchemy that breaths between them. It leaves you in anticipation of what the next progression will offer as the shimmering polyphonic keys bring the soul in the absence of vocals.

Avant-garde experimentalist Dan Devon has released his summer reggae-pop track, Party Dancer

Singer-songwriter, producer and composer, Dan Devon, has released his sophomore single, Party Dancer, as part of his psychedelic soul experiment that fuses elements of RnB, soul, rock, hip hop and electronica in avant-garde fashion. While it probably isn’t to everyone’s taste, anyone who appreciates an unadulterated shot of high vibes will soon feel their souls warm to this tropic summer reggae-pop single.

After garnering over 10,000 streams with his short and sweet debut single, Kitty Cat Song, which is somewhere in between Nada Surf’s Meow Meow Lullaby and Frank Turner’s Plea from a Cat Named Virtue, Dan Devon’s sweet and affable style has more than earned its space on the airwaves.

Swim Ignorant Fire speaks to your rhythmic pulses on a primal level with ‘Initiated’

Swim Ignorant Fire

Chicago Illinois experimentalist, Swim Ignorant Fire, has launched their latest single, Initiated, as a leftfield globally inspired teaser of his album, Bufo Alvarius. The soundscape makes a Herculeanly strong case for multiculturism as the Eastern vocals ethereally drift in and out of the ambient electronic mix that also feeds in distorted guitars and bass.

If your ambient lo-fi playlists are feeling a like uninspiring, funk them up with this infectiously eclectic release that speaks to your rhythmic pulses on a primal level.

Baroque Monody reaches the epitome of etherealism with their single, Plan 2021, feat Kellii Scott.

Plan 2021 (Feat. Kellii Scott) by Baroque Monody

Post-punk and symphonic metal converge in the darkened atmosphere of Baroque Monody’s latest single, Plan 2021, featuring percussionist Kellii Scott (Failure).

With Scott’s thrashing percussive flair, the heavy guitars and the etherealism of Jenifer Rose’s vocals as they emanate the same arcane allure of a 15th-century mystic, all of your senses will surrender to the sublimely-paced progressive furore in Plan 2021.

After making their debut in 2013, Baroque Monody has released two albums, and there is plenty more in the pipeline from the powerhouse duo. Save a spot on your radar.

Plan 2021 is available to stream and purchase via Bandcamp.
