The Liberace of punk, Cinemartyr, are back in proggy Avant-Garde form in ‘No Legacy’

Baroque folk meets prog rock in the latest single, No Legacy, from the NYC-residing Avant-Garde outfit, Cinemartyr who have lasciviously been stealing the crown of the boldest aural architects since their original formation in 2008.

The doomy, heavy guitars follow the ultimate head-banging formula as the riffs keep on getting brought back slower for the aphrodisiacal angsty effect. While Irish folk nuances, from founding member, Shane Harrington’s geographical ghetto past, sporadically eke in through the pull of classical strings and the tonal shifts in Amber Moon’s vocal eccentricity. The era-hopping vocal lines are enough to put Kate Bush and Dua Lipa in the same league.

Keep them on your radar for the release of their forthcoming album, OPT OUT, which will be available to to stream and purchase from June 17th.

Mustard Mountain Moving Company lament societal idiosyncracy in their Avant-Garde debut, Make it Stop?

For anyone that can relate to the sentiment ‘stop the world I want to get off’, the debut single, Make it Stop? from Mustard Mountain Moving Company should be considered unmissable.

Far from another lockdown lament, the track has been 18-years in the making from the Pittsburgh scene veterans, proving that ennui-blackened frustration has been viable for almost two decades. Yet, notably, it was a devilishly timely release from the lo-fi Avant-Garde artist, who will enamour fans of Elliott Smith and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds alike.

While the lyrics put the idiosyncrasies of our modern existence in the spotlight, the playful synths ensure that the light of day isn’t all too harsh. You couldn’t ask for sweeter sugar for the pill of reality. Do yourselves a favour, affix them to your radar.

Sound Animal fascinate yet again with the ear-sizzling new track, ‘Whistle the Wind Home’

With a hauntingly mesmerising start that forms into something quite intriguing and deep to close your eyes with, Sound Animal return with an instrumental track that will surely be in a Hollywood movie as we lather inside, ‘Whistle the Wind Home‘.

Sound Animal is a Berkeley, USA-based indie experimental psychedelic rock, electronic, doom and metal band that continues to defy logic with extraordinary soundscapes to swim deeply into.

After blowing our minds on the car alarm-blaring dystopian track from February that shocked our ears back into place on ‘Outlaw of No‘, Sound Animal are rather unbelievable on another totally mind-bending song for the non-masses. The different sounds on display are rather uniquely spectacular and shall take your whole body into another dimension.

‘Whistle the Wind Home‘ from Californian-based indie experimental psychedelic rock, electronic, doom and metal act Sound Animal is a speaker-shifting single that shall flow through parts of your body that haven’t been alive for years. They are a tremendous outfit that has defied the odds once again and grabbed our souls into a galaxy of wonder that shall make you smile with joy. Music should always be about exploring what is possible after all.

HULX lets us know the metaphysical score in his latest composition, SURREALISM

Transcend reality by the hand of the University of Westminster music student, HULX, via his latest instrumental composition, SURREALISM. I don’t know about you, but I’ll take any escape from this material-mortal coil I can get my existentially lovebitten mind on. And under HULX’s futuristic and imaginative duress, you’d struggle to get further away from our battery farm of an unromantic existence.

The sonorous score is cinematically crafted through HULX’s already virtuosic flair over a set of keys, but there’s just enough space dust to take you to a new plateau of consciousness that reminds you of the true beauty of the human experience. It pours through the inexplicably intuitive progressions.

Guilherme Cosme is a Brazil-born Dublin, Ireland-based experimental psychedelic singer-songwriter and the lead vocalist of the Irish rock band, Mary Bleeds.

”Initially insecure about his abilities, Cosme kept his music to himself until his early 20’s when he found the courage to share it with other musicians. Although all his early work was in his native Portuguese, as a writer he loved the cadence and phonetical textures of English. He moved to Ireland to immerse himself in the language and never looked back.” ~ Guilherme Cosme

Taken from his new album that is set for a release later on in 2022 and is called ‘Persephone and the Ghost Brother‘, Guilherme Cosme opens up the creaking door and bravely shows us inside his dark thoughts that many will recognize.
