Ivon Roberts & A.M.K advocate for self-love in their summer pop anthem ‘Solo’.

Describing herself as “a hot mess in catchy song form”, Ivon Roberts is the girl-next-door pop icon we never knew we needed on our playlists. Her latest tropic electropop single, Solo, featuring A.M.K, is a summer pop anthem that doesn’t pander to the usual obsessed-in-love tropes. With Solo, she used her platform to promote self-love instead of narrating the chase of superficial love.

The infectiously euphoric release follows on from Ivon Roberts’ other pop hits that come with an infectious appeal. With her most popular single, Skinny, having racked up over 150k streams on Spotify alone, it is easy to see that she’s going to be a major part of the future pop scene. With vocals that could rival Gaga’s while carrying intimate indie appeal, she’s everything you could possibly ask for from a pop artist.

SUMMARAE proves why the ‘haters gonna hate’ rhetoric is outdated in her latest single, ‘Mind Your Business’

SUMMARAE’s latest indie RnB Pop hit, Mind Your Business, is a soulfully unfuckwithable invitation to turn your attention away from the people you tear into to tame your insecurity.

The single marks a shift in our social tide that means that the ‘haters gonna hate’ rhetoric is almost an archaic principle. It may be a high-vibe summer RnB pop track, but SUMMARAE efficaciously succeeds in imparting the contempt that people with not enough emotional intelligence for introspection impart. Consider hitting play as your first step towards mindfulness.

Given the toxicity that seems to thrive in online spaces more than ever, Mind Your Business deserves to be the summer RnB hit of 2021.

Jasi Bella calls time on the perpetuation of damaging ‘crazy ex’ archetypes in her latest dance-pop track.

Swedish pop artist Jasi Bella’s latest single, Your Ex, is a straight-up attack on the perpetuation of the ‘crazy ex’ stereotyping. Not only is it a warning that women can see through the wool being pulled over our eyes when you tell us why your last relationship was a disaster. It is also an emboldening track that inspires solidarity between women that suffer the same narrators that twist the story to play the victim of the ‘insanity’ they inspired.

With rates of domestic violence skyrocketing as a result of the lockdowns, we’re more conscious of the dangers of toxic relationships than ever; conversations, such as what you will hear in Your Ex, are vital to have. The vibrant pop track deserves to go viral.

Catt Bellamy has released her sophomore single ‘Just Friends’ featuring Carl Martin

Given that there’s a trend around men expecting reciprocal affection without exception from women, Catt Bellamy’s latest single, ‘Just Friends’, will carry a significant amount of resonance for a lot of people. Anyone who has ever been accused of putting someone in the ‘friendzone’ will appreciate the harmonically delivered reminder that having standards doesn’t make you a monster.

With the unapologetic attitude projecting through Catt Bellamy’s playful yet assertive vocals melding with Carl Martin’s romantically inclined mellow pop beats, Just Friends sets the tone for affection; while reminding the listener that boundaries are essential. If tracks such as Just Friends started hitting the airwaves decades ago, there may be far fewer women around with wrecked self-esteem.

Cami Bex is due to make her empoweringly salacious pop debut with “Type”

Aussie Pop artist Cami Bex’s debut single Type is a melting pot of smooth grooves and empoweringly sultry lyricism which defies convention.

While some artists think that they need to be misandrists or crass to create feminist Pop hits, Cami Bex chose to utterly own her sexuality with some tongue-in-cheek attitude. And there’s even deeper lyrical context if you look past the flirty vibes. Type offers a nuanced assurance that even if you are messed up, you’re someone’s idea of perfection. If we’re all being a little honest with ourselves, we all need to hear that from time to time.

With producer Jordan Leonard on-side for her debut, Type was never going to fall flat. We’re stoked to hear what comes next.

There was no forgetting the trailblazing Australian Pop artist Amber Lee after hearing her single “Doubt”. We were under no impression that we’d heard all she has to offer, but we were still blown away by her latest single “Kings and Queens”.

With Kings and Queens, Amber Lee raised the tempo to orchestrate an EDM Pop track which is as lyrically captivating as it is stylistically enrapturing. The track was written to tell anyone lucky enough to hear it that you don’t need to crumble and reconstruct yourself under society’s pressures. You can create your own image, enjoy the empowerment in celebrating authenticity. The kind of authenticity Amber Lee used to create this powerfully high-vibe single.

Ella has released her fiercely redemptive Pop single “Oops Oops”

If you like your Pop artists unapologetically fierce, breaking artist Ella has all the empowering attitude you could possibly ask for in her latest release “Oops Oops”.

If you turn on the radio, you’ll hear plenty of artists offering lovelorn introspection and abrasively sweet love songs and little else in between. Ella took a very different approach to contemporary Pop. Her redemptive single is a powerful reminder to women that you don’t need to turn into a snappish dolt every time you’ve been romantically screwed over. While we can’t exactly condone financial exploitation, we make no bones about celebrating this stellar radio-ready feat of Pop.

You’d be hard-pressed to find Pop hooks which are sharper than the ones that will grab you in the 90s-inspired perennial Pop earworm.

Hailey Davis has demonstrated her boundlessly chameleon Pop style in her Arc of Visibility EP

Pop singer-songwriter Hailey Davis has recently released her debut 4-track EP “Arc of Visibility”. Independently, the four singles stand as testaments to her ability to craft connectable and powerful soundscapes. Collectively, they demonstrate that Hailey Davis’ possesses boundlessly chameleon talent.

With the morosely powerful single “Shipwreck” avidly capturing the never-ending battle to get your self-respect on side, the EP offers an immersive start. Track 2, Insecurities is a groove-laden Rock-infused upbeat inspiring track which allows you to address your relationships with your insecurities. With track 3 See Me, Hailey Davis took moody Pop to the next level with the sultry and mellifluous single which is all too easy to surrender your consciousness too. The EP concludes with yet another aural curveball “Dangerous Love” which boasts nostalgic elements of 90s RnB into the electronically crafted track.

The only thing which remains a constant in the EP is the quality of the flawlessly atmospheric soundscapes and Hailey Davis’ deep, poetic, compelling lyricism.

London singer Julie Hicklin sends us meaningful message on a love letter with debut ”The Power and The Glory”

A plea to save our planet before it’s too late. “Rise up, wake up, face up, rewrite the story”. We need to take our heads out the sand and look after such a vital part of our life. The planet needs us and the time is now. With so many other distractions going on at the moment it feels like this important message has been a bit lost.

Electronic Pop artist Julie Hicklin has an enchanting voice that really pulls you into her lovely web of beautifully crafted vocals. ”The Power and The Glory” describes Julie to perfection. This Londoner sings her heart out and the message is to save the planet and we need to look after her badly. I love the message and can’t wait to see her live when venues open up again in the UK. Julie sings about love and life. This debut release echoes through my speakers and this is an exciting song to play loud. Julie Hicklin is a real talent and we need to take notice of this UK singer with lungs to die for.

I think we can all agree, more so than ever, that upraising artists are essential.

The all too resonant message in Radio Silence is a stark reminder to protect your self-worth while dealing with the people who we let control the perceptions of ourselves. It may be a relatively simple message, but how often do we find ourselves guilty of it?

With the clean and easy, popping and bright Pop Rock melodies, the organically feel-good radio-ready hit will make the perfect addition to your high-vibe Pop playlists.
