BIRCHES shows us how to brush away that sad sorrow on ‘SEE YOURSELF TOMORROW’

Guiding us through the sadness and showing us which light-filled door to open, BIRCHES bravely leads us into a better world with smiles guaranteed all day on ‘SEE YOURSELF TOMORROW‘.

BIRCHES (formally We Are The Trees) is a DIY Northern Irish indie emo band who are proudly self-produced and seemed to thrive creatively during this recent pandemic.

More of a ballad, a moody track, than our more upbeat tracks. It focuses on mental health and we hope it can encourage our listeners to speak with their friends and family about any problem or issue they are having in their life”. ~ BIRCHES

Reminding one of the classic USA band The Shins and taking us for a revealing ride through life in their signature way, BIRCHES claw their way bravely to the top of the food chain with rampaging riffs that might cause you to blush uncontrollably. Soaked with a vocally enthused vigor, this might be one of your new playlist faves for 2022 when you need a natural boost.

SEE YOURSELF TOMORROW‘ from Northern Irish indie emo band BIRCHES is a really terrific soundtrack to finding freedom again. After being locked inside for too long, this is that call to speak up if you have been going through a traumatic period of upheaval in this confusion-packed world. Performed with genuine passion and desire, this is a simply excellent song made with such pure intentions.

Life should be about helping others through dark times when you’re able to help.

Silent Disco brought the future of rock to Tennessee with their debut indie-pop-rock about a girl single, Rocks

Pop-punk collided with alt-indie in the debut synth-scored euphoric hit, Rocks, by the up-and-coming powerhouse Silent Disco, which may be the sweetest about a girl single we’ve ever heard. The stellar slice of alt-rock affirms that we’ve moved past the Girl All the Bad Guys Want tropes by celebrating the magic and mystique of spiritual girls.

It’s as hooky as any of Fall Out Boy’s iconic releases, but Rocks does far more than just teasing a little early 00s emo nostalgia; it is also well and truly ahead of the curve of artists clamouring over themselves to do the 1975 better than the 1975. It may not be the average sound that spills out of Nashville, but Silent Disco is definitively bringing the future of rock to Tennessee.

Rocks will officially release on April 1st, 2022. You can check it out for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud.

JÚWAN strips back in his pensive acoustic pop-punk track, DEATHWISH!

There was no forgetting JÚWAN after his early 00s emo pop-punk hard hitter Ouch. He’s on visceral form once again with the release of his third single, DEATHWISH!

The acoustic and semi-orchestral starts with a mellifluously morose intro before JÚWAN builds the track into an evocatively resounding confessional piece that doesn’t move all too much from the gentle intro, but notably, JÚWAN can metaphorically move mountains when he’s going deep, and you’d be hard-pressed to find more depth than what is contained in DEATHWISH!

DEATHWISH! will be instantly relatable to anyone that knows how it feels when it seems that perpetual sleep is the only remedy from the negative cycle you can’t break yourself out of. That might all sound incredibly bleak, but there’s no understating how sweet the feeling of resonance is.

You can check out DEATHWISH! For yourselves by heading over to Spotify.

Scarlett Angel brought in the future of pop with her dark and stormy track, C u L8r, featuring Zēo

Scarlett Angel

The Melbourne-based singer-songwriter rapper, Scarlett Angel, has everything it takes to define the future of pop – if her latest single, C u L8r, featuring Zēo, is anything to go by.

With her sweet future-pop-meets-bubble-gum-pop vocals spilling into the dark and moody instrumentals, which start with shoegazey dream pop vibes before transgressing into a stormy pop trap track, the choruses in C u L8r will stick to your synapses like superglue. Whether you want them to or not.

Lyrically, C u L8r is just as emboldening as Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, Avril Lavigne’s Complicated, and You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette. But make no mistake, Scarlett Angel is creating her own empowering pop signature sound.

billon dailey is set to make his hook-filled alt-indie-pop debut with ‘Pull on My Heartstrings’

billon dailey

If the Beach Boys made their debut in 2021 and picked up some Midwest Emo tendencies, their bright and instantly infectious melodies would have plenty in common with the ones found in singer-songwriter, billion daily’s triumph of a debut single, Pull on My Heartstrings.

The intricately and anthemically layered single breezes through the whole tonal spectrum as it runs through the frenetic choruses and verses where you can drink in the lush accordance of shimmering notes. It is anything but your average debut, which has plenty to do with the artist cutting his teeth as a songwriter under the moniker, iamsleepless, for years. After turning away from music to explore faith, having an existential crisis from that decision and returning to music armed with weed and a guitar, he started work on his debut release; we’re beyond glad that he did.

Pull on My Heartstrings is available to stream from December 3rd 2021. You can catch it for yourself on SoundCloud.

Trapped Up: New York emo rapper Francois feels like he is going insane on ‘Junkie’

Dropped off from his fire 8-track recently-released debut EP called ‘Broken Record‘, Francois rips his ex to pieces who broke his heart and made him feel like he wasn’t worth the time on ‘Junkie‘.

Francois is a 20-year old Scotchtown, New York-born, Newburgh, New York-based indie emo rapper, gamer and singer-songwriter who started making music when he was 17.

Music was a big part of Francois’s childhood and helped him battle depression and anxiety growing up.” ~ Francois

Francois sings and raps with a gusty edge that is such a bass-busting listen – that shows us a creative who is releasing his true emotions – that keeps on bringing his mind back to those romantic moments that were thought to last forever. This is a powerful effort that keeps you locked into the story and grips your curious mind, as you nod your head to an artist that flows with an efficiently illuminating technique.

Junkie‘ from the New York-based indie emo hip-hop artist and singer Francois, is really heartbreaking track from a man who is feeling the brunt of those sensations that are slamming hard in his face. He is endeavouring to get over her but just can’t seem to stop thinking about that cute smile – and the laughs that were so prevalent – as we hear the passion swirling genuinely through your speakers at home. This is one of the more break-ups fueled singles you will detect all year, from a rising artist who carries his heart on the sleeve and doesn’t ever hold back.
