Craymo offers the aural antidote to seasonal depression with ‘December Rain’

As we approach one of the most daunting Decembers in living memory, music which reflects our melancholy and offers understanding is more valuable than ever, making up and coming Indie artist Craymo’s Indie ballad ‘December Rain (Carol of Love)’ utterly priceless.

December Rain is just one of the tracks to feature on their dynamic 5-track EP ‘Love Power’ which explores the multifaceted nature of Love. In this release, Craymo illustrates the terrifying vulnerability which interlaces with the prospect of love which can easily override our need for affectionate warmth.

The piano-led arrangement which any Elton John fans will adore may be tender, but that tenderness doesn’t hinder the sonorous blows which the sentiment poetically delivers.

Ashley James takes us back to the 70s with their Pop ballad “Take Your Time”

Ashley James may not be a well-known name (yet), but any fans of 00’s Indie Rock should be familiar with their previous outfit Likely Lads who received rapturous acclaim for their brutally honest lyrical style.

Now, Ashley James has gone solo, and we’re seeing a more soulful side to the artist’s multifaceted talents. With a touch of aural nostalgia and lashings of laceratingly raw emotion, their debut single “Take Your Time” was born.

The 70s-inspired Pop ballad is sure to be a hit with any fans of Rod Stewart and Elton John or any Pop fans who are looking to lock into sincerity, pitch-perfect harmony, and melodic alchemy.

Get psyched with Axl Phnxx’s experimental Indie Ballad “FEEL THE NIGHT”

Up and coming artist Axl Phnxx has released their experimental Indie ballad FEEL THE NIGHT, any fans of BC Camplight are going to want to hear it.

Starting off with a prelude which offers reminiscences to The Verve, FEEL THE NIGHT quickly gains momentum and picks up euphoria as it progresses. With choppy piano notes and frenzied percussion alongside Axl Phnxx’s galvanizingly energetic vocals FEEL THE NIGHT is sure to leave you psyched.

It may be a full-throttle supersonic hit, but the talented nuances within the instrumental arrangement are all too easy to pick out. Axl Phnxx may just be this generation’s Elton John.

Chamik Zhang releases romantic pop track ‘I Wish You Well’

When we think of romantic pop music of substance, even in the more commercial world, we generally think of the high-concept and artistic direction of Kate Bush and Tori Amos or the high volume commerciality of kitsch dinosaurs such as Elton John or Billy Joel (though The Stranger is an album that should be studied in music colleges the length and breadth of the country.) Well, with I Wish You Well, Chamik Zhang finds a middle way that combines integrity with appeal.

Chamik Zhang makes short work of blending Damien Rice minimalism with just the right amount of commercial melodicism. Heartstrings will be tugged, emotions unleashed, young women will swoon and the world will feel just that little bit more poetic. And when did the world ever not benefit from such happenings?
