Christian Vels has made their Electro-Pop debut with ‘Summer Love’ (Feat. Alix)

Christian Vels’ debut track ‘Summer Love’ is aptly titled – a perfect summery electro-pop Balearic dance number, all speeding beats and guest vocalist Alix’s beautiful airy, high-register vocal line. Think David Guetta, Martin Solveig, or Avicii-style 126-BPM Ibiza pop, all gated snare and sequenced hook-line, held together by Alix’s ‘I’m only gonna break your heart’ chorus.

‘Summer Love’ is Vancouver-based musician/producer Vels’ first single release, after spending some time honing and tightening his engineering and production skills. On the basis of ‘Summer Love’, that time was very, very well-spent.Summer

MOTIV – ‘Don’t Let Yourself Down’

MOTIV

In a world of manufactured angsty alt-rock and generic R&B and trap-based pop-dance, it’s always refreshing when an artist does something different; with this track, MOTIV produces something close to eighties synth-pop – think Pet Shop Boys, Nik Kershaw, or Howard Jones – but with a modern, updated twist.

It’s ridiculously catchy, too. The ‘Don’t Let Yourself Down’ hook of the track’s title squirms its way into your head and refuses to leave for hours after the track has finished. Yet, it perseveres with an almost-ambient set of eighties-style production values – heavy reverb, old-school sequenced and gated drum beats, and a synth melody which mimics the vocal line, all whirling and writhing around that lyrical hook. ‘Don’t Let Yourself Down’ is a perfect slice of danceable, singable pop that’s a beautiful antidote to 2020’s lockdown blues.

Celebrate Romantic Freedom with Theofania’s sensationally raw Pop single “Heart Break Free”

From the first vocal note in Pop artist Theofania’s latest single Heart Break Free, the sincerity becomes palpable, as does the sense that you’re about to embark on an emotional rollercoaster. When the chorus hits, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Starting off with a melancholic offering of introspection, Heart Break Free offers immediate depth and compassionately shares resonance with heartbroken. Yet, for the choruses, Theofania opted for high-vibe bass-driven energy which affirms that even if you feel like you’re drowning in apathy, the clouds will break, just like the chorus.

It’s tracks like Heart Break Free which really put into context the emotions, which if left unchecked, can ruin our self-esteem. With that in mind, Theofania’s Pop hit is worth its weight in aural gold.

Cami Bex is due to make her empoweringly salacious pop debut with “Type”

Cami Bex

Aussie Pop artist Cami Bex’s debut single Type is a melting pot of smooth grooves and empoweringly sultry lyricism which defies convention.

While some artists think that they need to be misandrists or crass to create feminist Pop hits, Cami Bex chose to utterly own her sexuality with some tongue-in-cheek attitude. And there’s even deeper lyrical context if you look past the flirty vibes. Type offers a nuanced assurance that even if you are messed up, you’re someone’s idea of perfection. If we’re all being a little honest with ourselves, we all need to hear that from time to time.

With producer Jordan Leonard on-side for her debut, Type was never going to fall flat. We’re stoked to hear what comes next.

Type is due for official release on November 6th. You can pre-save the single via this link.

Cyrus has unleashed an entrancing attack on Drops of Jupiter by Train

https://soundcloud.com/cyrus091/train-drops-of-jupiter-cyrus-remix

With their latest track, up and coming producer Cyrus has entrancingly attacked the iconic hit “Drops of Jupiter by Train.

Drops of Jupiter is one of those perfectly nostalgic hits which may not commonly appear on Playlists, but when the track catches us by chance, it hits us with waves euphoria inspired by the melodic momentum in the all-consuming Indie Rock track. With Cyrus’ remix, there’s even more high-vibe energy to soak up and the track has become even more trancey, inventively glitchy and high-octane than ever.

The New Jersey-based artist and producer well and truly made the track their own and amassed plenty of hype by doing so with their mould-breaking approach to production. He’s definitely one for the radar if you’re in the habit of keeping track of the freshest producers around in 2020.

3oland – You Keep Running: Mould-Breaking Synthy Sweet Pop

https://soundcloud.com/3oland/you-keep-running

You Keep Running” is the mould-breaking synthy sweet Pop hit from one of the most distinctive artists currently sharing their danceable drops with the airwaves, 3oland.

If you mapped out my brain after hearing You Keep Running, you’d find that a significant proportion of it has been dominated by the galvanising beats, the sonic synth lines and of course, 3oland’s high-energy sincerely evocative singles.

Even though You Keep Running boasts a massive sound, the Copenhagen-based artist still succeeded in ensuring that the track has an intimate and connectable feel.

There really is no room to wonder why he’s able to garner so much hype with his infectiously fresh sound. Get him on your radar.

Inzenze slides with the fantastic ‘Save Me’

After the success of his last release Don’t Stop, EDM artist and producer Inzenze is back with his brand new song called ‘Save Me‘.

There is a definite old school feel here with a 90’s vibe. I remember busting my ill-advised dance moves to songs like this back in the day and I like the beat here. The energy is translucent and you get lost in the song, with the peak being extra impressive. You just want to dance here and get that body moving. There is 90’s house, Disco and Dance all cut to perfecting like a fine dining chef’s main course.

Inzenze slides in with the dance-lit luscious sounds coming from his new ‘Save Me‘. This is an awesome song to pump loud on the weekends. With lots of hype and lots of love being showed all over the world, this is an extra gem to be added to the discography and playlists.

Rowanna Chown – Cry My Art Out: Feistily Infectious Alt Pop

If you think the title to up and coming artist Rowanna Chown’s latest single “Cry My Art Out” is ingenious, wait until you hit play on the fiercely punchy feat of Alt-Pop. Rowanna Chown makes Lady Gaga sound positively tame.

By taking influence from both 80s Madonna-style Pop and Backstreet Boys-style 90s Pop and weaving them into a danceable high-octane mix Cry My Art Out dripped with commercial potential. The radio-ready hit which dropped on July 27th is sure to see Rowanna Chown propelled from the underground. If she doesn’t have what it takes to be a household name, I don’t know who does.

Without any hint of exaggeration, Rowanna Chown exudes pure Queen energy in Cry My Art Out. You can bask in the feisty regal grace of the single by heading over to YouTube.

Jimmi Ski – Kiss Me Through the Phone: The Ultimate Lockdown Lovesong

https://soundcloud.com/jimmiski/kiss-me-through-the-phone/s-bjE6R7IiQaZ

Fans of the 1975 won’t want to deliberate on hitting play on “Kiss Me Through the Phone”, the first single to be released from Jimmi Ski’s EP “Missed Calls”.

It certainly isn’t the first lockdown-inspired pop track to hit the airwaves, but it is possibly the first lockdown-born track which manages to maintain romanticism, optimism and a smorgasbord of other high-vibe emotions without reminding you of how soul-sucking the experience has been.

Jimmi Ski will be dropping a new track every month, if they parallel the sentimentality and intimacy of Kiss Me Through the Phone, you’ll definitely want to save space on your radar.

Elta Wave has dropped her eccentrically electric Dance Pop mix “Dance Floor Dance “

https://open.spotify.com/album/6HoyOorjWcHAZc4n5uIzfF

It’s sultry, it’s retro, it’s euphoric, it’s Elta Wave’s eccentrically electric 5th single “Dance Floor Dance”.

Finding distinction within a Dance Pop track may be harder than finding a needle in a haystack, but you can’t help but be hooked in by Elta Wave’s magnetic personality in the danceable high-vibe hit. I should probably warn you now that the melody will stick to your synapses like superglue.

There are nuanced textures of Funk and Disco weaved into the contemporary mix which kicks off and concludes by throwing playful polyphonic notes your way. You’re instantly given the affirmation that Dance Floor Dance is an accessible from the first hit mix.

There’s no understating the commercial potential in Elta Wave’s sound. You’ll have to hear the infectious rhythms for yourselves.
