Paul Bader has released his upliftingly iconic funk-pop single, Live a Little

Paul Bader

‘Live a Little’ is the latest infectious indie funk-pop single from the breaking artist Paul Bader whose progressive pop sound comes with more than just radio-ready appeal. The uplifting grooves within the nuanced instrumentals and the sardonically enlivening vocals will leave you itching to have him on your turntable.

As the momentum in the snappy beats starts to build, Live a Little shifts away from indie pop-rock vibes into a danceable feat of progressive house. With the angular indie guitars around the galvanising beats, Bader gave his sound mainstream appeal that is sure to get him noticed.

Live a Little was officially released on August 6th; you can check it out for yourselves via Spotify.

Kaylin Cervini prescribes dark dance-pop with her intensely powerful single, ‘Bubble’.

Kaylin Cervini is set to release the most subversive dance-pop track of the year with her single, Bubble. After a moody, vulnerable and downtempo alt-pop intro, the single evolves into an intensely powerful feat of future pop that won’t fail to leave you galvanised.

The Rochester-NY artist has already made major waves with her sound that paradoxically offers intimacy despite the massive production. If you like your euphoric pop tracks to come with a heavy dose of realism, you’ll want to save a spot on your radar for Kaylin. Bubble finds a clever conceptual way to allude to the false sense of security happiness gives us and how exposed we feel when the rug is pulled from under us.

Bubble is due for release on August 6th; in the meantime, you can check out Kaylin Cervini on Spotify, Facebook and Instagram.

Dejhare shifts ‘Perception’ with her protestive dance pop track.

Dejhare broke the plastic pop mould with her single, Perception, taken from her EP, Plead the Fifth, which yearns for outdated and archaic notions to be left where they belong, in the past.

The protestive, danceable, hook-filled pop track attacks discrimination and human rights abuses that are still commonplace globally in a time when we base our progress on technological advances, which in essence are meaningless in the face of the atrocities that become breaking news by the hour.

With her vision as an artist and the execution of her infectiously liberating tracks, the airwaves have been crying out for a unifying luminary such as Dehjare. We can’t wait to see where she takes her sound next.

Perception is available to stream via Spotify.

Chris Vega sends a siren call in his alt-pop single, ‘Dangerous’.

Chris Vega

Cincinnati-hailing self-taught singer-songwriter and music producer Chris Vega is set to release his stormy impassioned pop track, Dangerous. The single shines a light on the darker side of love, the side that tells you it is safer to play with the toaster in the bath than it is to fall in love, but we delve in regardless.

It’s no secret or exaggeration that relationships can allow our mental health to take a hit and vice-versa; Vega encapsulates this perfectly. It’s so much more than you’re archetypally prosaic ‘I can’t live without you’ love song; it’s an extension of compassion to everyone that has ever had to battle with affectionate feelings and mental health issues simultaneously.

Rodney Pemberton has made his synthpop debut with Rendezvous (Reboot)

Caribbean-born, US-based pop artist Rodney Pemberton has unleashed his debut synthpop single, Rendezvous (Reboot); the tropic and passionate release runs in the same vein as no other.

Most pop artists unashamedly wear their inspiration on their sleeves only for it to become the entire essence of the sound; Rodney Pemberton certainly can’t be accused of the same. The independent artist has had a lifelong affinity for music, but it is only when lockdown hit that he turned his attention to making his official debut.

The feel-good pop hit comes with Abba-style infectious high vibes paired with dancey synths that strike on the darker side of the tonal palette to create plenty of atmosphere in the promising debut,

Rendezvous (Reboot) is now available to stream on Spotify.

Constellation Prize bring the grooves in their bassy electro-pop hit, Chase That High.

Constellation Prize

UK-based dance-pop duo Constellation Prize is set to drop their most euphoric release to date, Chase That High; the endlessly energetic anthem will seal a spot on your summer pop playlists before the hooky chorus even hits.

With slightly filthier basslines than you would expect from your average future pop track, Chase That High is adrenalizing from start to finish. Perhaps most notably, the artist brings serious swathes of style to the high-vibe pop anthem. All too often, feel-good tracks fall into the trite and cliché trap, but Constellation Prize is nothing if not refreshing and organic in their electro-pop style that modernises 80s – 00s dance-pop grooves.

Chase That High is due for release on July 30th. You can check out Constellation Prize on SoundCloud.

Emily Silver raises the temperature in her dance-pop track, ‘Feel the Flames’

Emily Silver

Independent London-based singer-songwriter Emily Silver’s latest future pop track, Feel the Flames, is enough to make Lady Gaga sound tame. The single that was co-written and produced by the Brit Award winner, Simon Ellis (Britney, Spice Girls, S Club 7), is the epitome of filthy pop.

The bass-drenched-drops motif the track with electrifying energy which Silver easily matches with her fiercely resounding vocal timbre. Emily Silver has already performed in the Royal Albert Hall and the 02 Arena, but with her vocals, there isn’t a stage she couldn’t command. There’s a magnetic amount of hunger in Feel the Flames that grips you with sharp melodic teeth and refuses to let go.

Feel the Flames is due for release on July 16th; you can check out Emily Silver on SoundCloud.

Lord Spark invites us to The Tuscan Garden in his latest ethereal pop track.

With his latest electropop hit, the artfully enigmatic artist Lord Spark obliterated the monocultural mould while constructing a sun-soaked earworm that paradoxically carries the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside while lavishing the airwaves with energetic dance-pop.

When an artist is as passionate about evoking positive change in their culture through their music as they are about their sound, the aural results will always be arresting. But with the ensnaring serpentine rhythms and the natural magnetism in his vocal timbre, it is easy feel hypnotised by the narrative single. In the best possible way, if Copacabana was a queer pop track, it would be The Tuscan Garden.

Along with his mission to ascend the charts, Lord Spark seeks to smash the toxic traditionalism that he grew up around in the conservative Italian countryside. His bold and vibrant vocal presence in his tender, vulnerable and androgynous latest release does just that.

You can enter The Tuscan Garden via Spotify.

WALLIS featuring the Schriver Sisters – Another Day: Film Noir Dance Pop

With one viral hit under her belt, up and coming artist WALLIS is trying for another with the release of her latest single, Another Day, featuring the Schriver sisters.

The Philadelphia-hailing 16-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist pulled in some big names for Another Day. With Steve Sigmund on Trombone (Ray Charles), Julio Hernandez (Barry Gibbs) on bass and the Grammy-award-winning engineer Carlos Alvarez working on the alt-indie dance-pop track, it comes as no surprise that it is just as mesmerising as a Warpaint or Black Honey single.

With a film noir feel to the verses, and plenty of soulful funk thrown in for good measure if WALLS had reworked Dusty Springfield’s You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me it would have unravelled in a similarly vibrant and utterly ingenious way as Another Day.

Another Day is due for release on June 25th. You can check it out for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud.
