Resistance resonates in THE MAINSTREAM OFFICIAL’s harbingering electro-anthem, Part of the Problem

Harbingering signs of the times rarely resound in trancey house mixes, but here to bring consciousness under the club music umbrella is THE MAINSTREAM OFFICIAL with their debut single, Part of the Problem.

Part of the Problem is the first single to drop in a series of resistance-themed singles that the duo has crafted to unshackle us on the dancefloor and awaken our minds to the issues we partake in if we go about our daily lives with blinkers on.

Sobering and liberating in the same glossy produced breath, THE MAINSTREAM OFFICIAL is doing more than just breaking ground; they are fighting for the world we are all respectively attempting to save, destroying, and living in ambivalently. The vocals perfectly gel with the rhythmically arresting, tension-fuelled progressions as they project the myriad of global issues before compelling you to take a stand.

Open your mind: Min the Universe drops phenomenal ambient EDM remix on ‘Westworld Reanimated’

Min the Universe puts our vivid imagination into a different stratosphere with the bass-pumping Dubstep-infused new track called ‘Westworld Reanimated‘.

This is an exhilarating EDM remake of the wonderful title track from the incredible HBO hit-series Westworld made by the excellent German score composer Ramin Djawadi.

Min the Universe is a globetrotting New York-based guitarist, keyboardist and EDM producer, with an ear for those rare music sounds, that are undeniably electrically-charged to expanded our minds. A huge Westworld fan himself, he has created a masterpiece here that takes you up into the sky and you come back feeling like a different person all together.

The lunar soundscapes are so special and the layers of detail immerses your mind and body to feel something so spectacular, that you will barely believe what you are listening to. Each second is like being in a movie and you find yourself smiling to yourself and remembering how brilliant this series is.

‘Westworld Reanimated‘ from NYC-based fast-rising EDM producer Min the Universe, is something quite out-of-this world and he treats us to a lesson in appreciation. If you are going to remix a track, you gotta do it with class and try and stamp your own mark on it, to transform the song and make it your own. He has certainly achieved this and with more creations up his sleeve, this is a name to keep a close eye on. If you can keep up with him that is.

Life is better with the right mindset: Scottish DJ Cherry Joy drops an absolute dance gem on ‘Let It Go’

Cherry Joy is ready for whatever comes her way on the bass heavy gem via dance/edm track called  ‘Let It Go‘.

Cherry Joy is a supremely talented and self-motivated female singer-songwriter and radio DJ based in Edinburgh, Scotland. After dealing with being made redundant due to this horrific pandemic recently, she is a role model to us all by pushing hard to find new work, while also putting in 100% to get her long-awaited music career off the ground.

This is what she absolutely loves and feels this deep inside her soul. After studying music after school, she got into the normal work way of life and left music behind until 2018. Then, deep inside she felt the urge to get back into it and slowly but surely, the hunger and fire has built up to a stage where it feels like she truly believes in herself and this is her time.

Her stunning vocals grab your heart and take you for an exuberant ride. The real lyrics are a pleasure to hear as this is authentic dance music that is so rare in this genre. The obvious honesty and consistently excellent beat gets you into a happy but thoughtful groove; as you turn your lights off and all self-doubt away from anywhere close to you.

There is so much to love here and when clubs and festivals come back from the darkness, they need to book a DJ of this calibre to kick the crowd up to top gear and get them dancing all night to this.

Life is about just going for it and not worrying about material things. Scottish DJ/singer-songwriter Cherry Joy shows so much self-awareness on the top quality ‘Let It Go‘ and you can see why this is her favourite release so far.

The scary part is that she is only getting warmed up. This outstanding musician has the inner motivation and nothing can stop her doing what she loves.

Nightshadow emerges from the darkness to bring us a wonderful song to dance to on the new single ‘All Of Your Love‘.

Nightshadow is a Greek mainstream DJ, producer, electronics and computer science student, and re-mixer with a keen ear for a busty beat that makes you blush with excitement when you put on his music and turn it up loud.

He has been dreaming of being a DJ since has was just eight years old when he played around with his Dad’s old turntables. With a real passion for the genre, you can see why he also has a smile on his face and loves what he does. Entertaining the crowd and make people happy through music is the vision and the goal is to get his music out there to the world to enjoy.

When you do something you love, it isn’t really a job but is a passion that you do and get paid for. You can feel his intoxicating exuberance as his music gets you onto that dance floor and makes you happy. This is a true master at work.

The euphoric backing vocals gets you into the mood right away and the beat just somehow gets better and better. This is all about feeling happy and you can’t help but get off your couch and get those feet moving. This is what music is all about after all.

This is the story about wanting to be together with that special soul as you don’t want to waste your time anymore. You are ready for the real thing are waiting to bump into the right person when its meant to be.

After playing all around Greece and London, this is a motivated man who is looking for the next step and he might be onto a winner here. This is exactly the type of song that is a party starter and dance floor slider for the fans who want to be out again.

A 90’s classic reborn: Alex Kreid drops lockdown influenced single ‘Mysterious Times’

Alex Kreid is a 90’s head and he was so inspired during these wild lock down times to remix ‘Mysterious Times‘ as it perfectly projects how the whole world is feeling right now.

This track was originally released in 1998 by Sash! (ft. Tina Cousins) and this is probably one of the best dance songs of its generation. The fitting ode to this classic is a wonderful addition to a strange year that has in some ways, forced musicians to re-look at the way they do things, in order to make sure that they can remain productive while venues are mostly bolted shut.

The earthy atmospheric start catches the mood of the year as the build lifts and lifts gradually as the vocals become even more spooky than before. This is a remix that has been recreated to fit our current times, which is a welcome sound as most covers try and copy the original completely.

His vocals transforms the speakers and you sit back and try to soak up what is currently going on outside. With some countries doing great with the pandemic and others poorly, you realize that we have to stay strong and re-invent ourselves in order to survive.

‘Mysterious Times‘ from Bristol based singer-songwriter Alex Kreid is a reboot of the classic 90’s song and this is a fitting tribute to this wonderful tune that has been re-imagined with such skill and quality, to make us all tip the cap and appreciate a quality dance track.

Florida producer Alex Moye gets it all right on ‘I Wanna Dance’

Alex Moye is here to brighten up our hearts with his new song called ‘I Wanna Dance‘.

Alex Moye is a dance, house and EDM producer based in Jacksonville, Florida. From house-pop crossover track ‘Love Me Better’ to empowering EDM anthem ‘A Better Place’, Moye is known for his uptempo, high-energy dance beats with a pop slant that gets blood pumping and endorphins flowing. His previous single, ’All the Good Things’, was a nostalgic, feel-good club banger that brings summertime romance to the party. This new track follows those lines to terrific effect.

Creatively influenced by iconic DJs like Avicii and Tiesto, Moye first began producing music in high school. From 2018, he took music more seriously, and now views it as a critical creative outlet: “Making music is my escape from reality. I’m able to express things I want to say to people in the form of a song. It’s actually been very therapeutic for me.”

As a producer, Moye’s goal is to make people feel something: “Whenever I hear a song that invokes an emotion, whether good or bad, that’s powerful to me. I’ve always wanted to be able to do the same for other people. I’ve wanted to write music that will make people happy, or sad, make the hairs stand on their arms, or just want to dance.”

This is all about just wanting to head out onto the dance floor, confidence high and just ready to let all the stress go of life. It’s not worth keeping it all in and we just need to get this out of our system.

Del Gibbons feat. Marina Berry fire in with their party beat on ‘Hollywood‘, a 3am type of song which is a fun listen to get us on the dance floor again.

Del Gibbons is a Scottish-born producer who is now based in busy London in England. He is also a presenter, actor and composer. This is a man with a lot of experience in the music world and he loves challenging himself to learn new skills.

Marina Berry is a singer-songwriter, front-woman, backing vocalist and session singer with a fantastic voice that is so powerful. She is on full form on this new single with her style that is so stunning to listen to.

This is all about the crazy world in Hollywood. Things are fake and there are a lot of trophy wives out there. You want to try and avoid that as you want something real. You see so many people who are lost at night and you want to be the knight in shining armor and show them what life should be. Being happy and not worrying about small things that don’t matter.

Digital Head morph the speakers into our brains on fantastic ‘To Whom it May Concern’

Electronica beats with a catchy flow is the name of the game here from the mysterious producer named Digital Head as he drops his latest album called ‘To Whom it May Concern‘.

Now living in Austin, Texas, Digital Head has used his platform wisely as an artist to contribute to indie creative projects, with his last album raising funds for charity donations. A fine deed indeed.

‘To Whom it May Concern‘ is the fantastic third album to come from the wildly wonderful experimental artist Digital Head. Viewing this album as the third installment of the trilogy, ‘To Whom it May Concern‘ progresses the personal story of Digital Head as well as considering the effects of the divisive politics currently at play in America, and in the world more widely.

Growing up playing piano and drums, Digital Head has always had a fierce passion for creating great music. Releasing his first single at the age of 15 as an indie artist, he has since gone on to release two albums.

The highlights of this powerful album are definitely ‘Without You‘, ‘Permission‘ and ‘I Surrender‘. The beat is hauntingly ominous and the vocals stunning. You feel like you are in a different world and floating in the sky like a skydiver who just cruises in the air. My body feels relaxed and I let the beat take me to a different world. The skills on the production are quite wonderful.

Digital Head’s ‘To Whom it May Concern‘ is a tech house/edm wonder-wall of beauty and thoughtfulness. This is music that needs to be in movies and this is cinematic dream. One of the best albums of 2020 in the dance category without doubt.
