Leroybroughtflowers cuts ties with hometown roots in his mournful wanderlust single, woodlark

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter, Leroybroughtflowers, brought a touch of cinematic neo-classic gold to his jazz-tinged alt-indie folk single, woodlark, which was released on March 18th, 2022.

The single stands as a bitter-sweet testament to his undiluted candour which attacks the more melancholic side of leaving hometown roots and relationships behind. Evocatively, woodlark is harrowing. Sonically, it’s an artfully tender ballad that almost recontextualises the minor piano keys. There is a stunning sense of innocence amongst the heavy poetic resonance that carries the breeze of summer sunsets through the minimalist progressions that prove that the Coventry, UK-based Greek artist has mastered the art of spatial effect.

“Woodlark is a coming-of-age ballad inspired by leaving my hometown and my first love. The protagonist has accepted his life as a wanderer, and his inability to stay for his loved ones.

It is the bitter-sweet feeling of wanting to forget but wanting to remember everything. It is a love letter to a life of endless wandering and teenage love.”

Get your blues rock n roll fix with Article 19’s stellar scuzzy hit, Stone Crazy.

Article 19 has been on the rock scene since 2007; with their strongest lineup yet, the Coventry-based outfit is serving up their most raucously robust singles to date.

Their standout single, Stone Crazy, is the perfect introduction to the 70s rock n roll inspired outfit. For the same reasons you fell for the Rolling Stones, Stone Crazy won’t fail to pull you in with the angular bluesy riffs that get plenty of room to breathe in the vintage production that boasts plenty of earworm potential that comes through the clever vocal hooks.

Riding For The Team: Coventry hip-hop duo El Dorado bring us their scriptures with ‘New Religion Pack’

After keeping it straight-up real with ‘Honestly‘ from earlier on this year, El Dorado rise up with their world class bars on a story about grinding hard for the team and feeling like its time to move up a few notches on ‘New Religion Pack‘.

El Dorado is a Coventry, UK-based indie hip-hop/rap duo. They fuse that underground vibe to make it sound real live for modern day ears, who has been unfortunately swamped by so much of the putrid sludge that has been played to the youngsters of this new world.

This is the story about keeping that grind charging 24/7 so that the team may eat properly – in a harsh world that is full of fake sharks who pretend to be leaders but actually aren’t – as you look to be the next true role models who take the time educate others, on the proper way to do things.

Rapped with a real vigor and a hardcore element, there is so much smokey eloquence here that really has you feeling like there is something different on display here. The production is tight and full of that pure voltage that sparks up the energy, busting through the atmosphere and giving you something rather special to immerse inside for once.

‘New Religion Pack‘ from the Coventry, UK-based indie hip-hop/rap duo El Dorado, is a powerfully performed track that features a pulsating beat that smashes all the windows in the neighborhood. With gritty rhymes that seems to flow effortlessly onto the awaiting mic, it feels like you are listening to two artists from a different era who have come back to teach the youth. This is real hip-hop made with that excellent lyrically-advanced effort, this is up there with the best releases of 2021.

Coventry’s T. Fewdo flows in with vibrant Garage-inspired ”A Typical”

I love it when artist mix up genres such as Hip Hop, Grime, UK Garage, Afro Trap, EDM, Trap, UK Drill, Afro Swing, and Spoken Word. T. Fewdo is a rare type of artist that does exactly that. He is a true multi-talented master musician who is pushing the boundaries with his pen and brain. This isn’t your usual basic music, that much is very clear.

The UK based artist who is from Coventry, home of the mighty Sky Blues who are on the rise much like T. Fewdo. He is of Premier League standard that is for sure. T.Fewdo is inventive and I like the intricate ciphers he creates with passion and drive. This is the one of the most underrated emcee’s around and he’s definitely not a typical musician. With singing, rapping and the garage beat, you feel like you are getting the full menu to your earbuds.

”A Typical” from T. Fewdo is a top track as he likes to push the boundaries and gives the audience a way inside the studio with his vivid descriptions and soul food beat. This is one of my favorite songs of 2020.

Robbie RAPS draws a full house with his new banger Energies

Get ready for some Brit rap here, because Robbie RAPS is going to draw a full house with his new banger Energies.

Coming in at only 2:41, Energies is a 24-carat track where rap bars thunderstorm in so quickly and in such a tight structure to make you wonder “when does he breathe?!” – and it’s undoubtedly what you would dig if you’re an old-school hip-hop lover.

He hasn’t been around for even a year and he’s already established himself as a “One To Watch” artists of 2020 for his minimal and unique style. Differently from what we’re used to hearing with mainstream rappers, the beats don’t take over his vocals allowing his ferocious lyrics to take center stage.
