Trevor Quest has dropped their sultry dancefloor hit “Shake It” prod. Cratez

Up and coming RnB artist Trevor Quest dropped their sensually soulful EP “Mix Emotions” on June 28th. While each of the Hip Hop-infused hits provides a potent hit of salaciousness, the best introduction to the authentic artist’s contemporary style is “Shake It”.

With renowned producer Cratez in charge of polishing the mix, it was never going to fall flat. Instead, the light and intricate beats ooze earworm potential, there’s no reason why Shake It couldn’t become a charting summer RnB hit. It’s the perfect anthem for hedonistic summer nights.

Cjvd has dropped their Funk-deep serving of RnB Soul “Nobody Else”

Cjvd has gone right back to the roots of RnB with the potent serving of soul which was projected into his latest single Nobody Else. But with the snappy solid beats in the accordantly light arrangement, he created a hit which deserves a spot on 21st-century airwaves.

The hook-filled immersive track sits at the perfect tempo to offer catharsis whilst simultaneously allowing you to lose yourself in the colourfully romantic mix.

Cjvd isn’t just on-trend with Nobody Else. He’s started his own with his accessibly sentimental Funk-deep style. And we’re definitely here for it.

Joshua Dairen poured a smorgasbord of soul onto the airwaves with their latest single “Black and White”

There’s a serious serving of soul in breaking RnB Neo-Soul artist Joshua Dairen’s latest single Black & White.

Despite their modernistic approach to Soul, you’re still hit with the same resounding levels of emotion as you’d find in tracks from pioneering artists. From the first verse, you’ll be hooked in by the poetically candid lyrics which get increasingly more profound as Black & White progresses.

Joshua Dairen’s harmonically pitch-perfect deep vocals find perfect synergy with the Electronically orchestrated beats which borrow nuances of EDM, Pop and Hip Hop for a dynamic genre-transcending sound. In short, Black & White is a perfectly well-rounded track which drips with universal commercial appeal.

Up and coming artist Nolai’s single Stay is the aural evolution RnB has been waiting for

Up and coming RnB artist Nolai blew us away with their bar-setting single Without You. Their latest futuristically-romantic single Stay has given us another reason to get excited about the commercial potential which lingers in their inspired approach to EDM RnB Pop.

The vibrantly explorative soundscape may be a far cry from what you can expect from traditional RnB, and so are Nolai’s fiery nuanced vocals. Yet, accessibility still remains the essence of the melodically infectious single.

Even though there’s a sure enough injection of attitude within the mix, Stay is the perfect introduction to Nolai’s ability to leave you aurally endeared from the moment you hit play.

Rielle – Can’t Do This: Empoweringly All-Consuming RnB Pop

Right from the first few notes in RnB artist Rielle’s latest single “Can’t Do This”, you brace yourself to thrown into a hard-hitting melancholic single.

But what the prelude doesn’t prepare you for is the all-consuming nature of the chorus which allows Can’t Do This to stand as the ultimate testament to Rielle’s ability to orchestrate resonantly raw RnB Pop hits.

Even though the track title sounds fairly defeatist, Can’t Do This is irrefutably one of the most empowering RnB Pop singles we’ve heard in quite some time. The resonance isn’t hard to find in the lyrics, especially if you’ve ever had your self-esteem shattered by someone too blind to see your worth in the first place. There may not be many vocal melodies which can compel you to join in on the chorus before you’ve even learnt the lyrics to a track, Rielle has audibly made up for the shortfall with Can’t Do This.

Danny Paul – On Sight featuring Brooke Taylor: Authentically Amorous RnB

While there were many romantically-rendered RnB singles which were released on Valentine’s Day, none quite resonated in the same sticky-sweet sentimental way as Danny Paul’s single “On Sight” featuring Brooke Taylor.

With lyrics which refreshingly cut to the point along with a familiar yet fresh flow, On Sight unravels as a radio-ready single with an authentically amorous feel. With Brooke Taylor’s powerfully nuanced vocals in the mix, there was an incredible amount of collaborative chemistry within On Sight.

Instrumentally, On Sight keeps the tones ethereally light and evocatively smooth so that ingesting the deftly orchestrated melodies is even easier. With their debut album “Edan in the Evening” due to drop in 2020, you may want to make space for this exceptional up and coming talent on your radar.

Satchit – Stargaze: Hypnotically Sublime Alt Indie RnB

If you haven’t already jumped on the hype of UK-based Alt RnB Soul artist Satchit, there’s never been a better time to do so after the release of their latest single “Stargaze”.

With constantly evolving guitar tones against solid Trap beats and plenty of layers of mesmerising ingenuity in between, Stargaze is utterly hypnotic.

With guitars which progress from winding bluesy licks to Shoegaze/Post-Punk cutting tonality, you never know which way you’re going to get seamlessly pulled next. And that’s all without mention to Satchit’s smooth vocals which find the perfect synergistic level in the mix.

So few RnB artists are willing to go so distinctive with their sound. But Satchit’s bold experimentalism more than paid off in this dreamy mellifluous mix. It’s a uniquely beguiling earworm which will most definitely be played on repeat now I’ve got a taste of the artist’s sonorously captivating charm.

Hannah Savage – Feel Something: Adventure-Seeking Contemporary R&B

Hannah Savage is a singer, actress, dancer and all-around artist from Philadelphia, PA. And I tell you what; you’re in for a treat with her new song called “Feel Something”.

This is a stunningly sensational R&B song that features well done soft and lustful vocals. On top of that the lyrics are rather meaningful, they scream a craving to truly experience and live life. This is a type of song that although musically is leaning towards a specific music genre (which would be R&B/Pop) it can be linked to so many different moods: Sexy, introspective, joyful, mellow, the whole nine yards. Also, don’t let get started on the production; it’s splendid. Gentle music aimed to be played at the club just moments before the sun rises.

I would definitely encourage all contemporary R&B to keep an eye on Hannah Savage, as she is releasing her debut EP called “Temporary” on 01/02/2020. Until then, check out “Feel Something” on her Spotify page.

SOFIA EVANGELINA – Smile: Transfixingly Soulful RnB

Up and coming R&B Soul artist SOFIA EVANGELINA released her second single “Smile” on December 6th. Even for a Soul single, the amount of warmth, compassion, and reassurance which was poured into Smile is unparalleled.

Any fans of R&B artists such as Christina Aguilera are sure to appreciate SOFIA EVANGELINA’s dynamically resounding vocals. I’m fairly certain there isn’t a note in existence which SOFIA EVANGELINA couldn’t reach with relative ease. From deep reverberant versing to harmonic high’s, Smile stands as a testament to SOFIA EVANGELINA’s talent. Yet, what will really transfix you as you listen to Smile unfold, is the directness of the single. It’s rare that you’ll get to encounter a track which feels as though it’s speaking directly to you. Which is just one more reason to place this authentically captivating up and coming artist on your radar.
