Flames of funk and soul lick JANAYAH’s latest indie rock earworm, Can’t Get Enough

Janayah’s latest rhythmic revelation, Can’t Get Enough, mainlines funk-licked soul into indie rock euphoria through a filter of ’60s and ’70s nostalgia to breathe life into timeless tonality.

Born and raised in Auckland and now based in London, Janayah has graced stages from a tender age and has left lasting impressions with her dynamic live performances. Her sophomore single, imbued with the raw vocal power of Christina Aguilera with moments that oscillate back to old-school soul around rhythmically magnetic melodies is an embodiment of her soul-rock fortitude.

The single, which testifies to the insatiability of desire, showcases her signature style that crosses boundaries from pop to rock and dance, with each genre succumbing to the weight of her powerful vocals. Her previous works, including collaborations with EDM artists and features in prominent music venues, have all paved the way for this riveting return to her roots.

Ironically, every note in Can’t Get Enough promises to leave Janayah’s audience wanting more from the one-woman powerhouse.

Can’t Get Enough was officially released on July 12; stream the single on Spotify now.

Laela Giovanna – Wish I Would Have: A Tenderly-Imploring Piano Pop Ballad

NYC singer-songwriter & producer Laela Giovanna has released her tenderly-imploring piano pop single “Wish I Would Have” which allows you to find your own fraught regret within the stunningly extended vocal notes.

Think along the lines of Christina Aguilera’s iconic hit ‘Beautiful’, and you’ll be close to the mark. But no comparison could ever elucidate the striking authentic evocative appeal in this passionately stormy, melodically mellifluous track.

Wish I Would Have isn’t without its lament, but as Laela Giovanna runs through the verses, you hear her ascension from the ashes as she proverbially rises and you’ll get to share in the empowerment.

My only criticism is that the provocatively poised single should rank higher in the Pop charts.

You can listen to Wish I Would Have for yourselves here.

Anamaria Angel – Freight Train: Grab Your Hairbrush.

Anamaria Angel has held onto a glimmer of 00’s Pop and recreated an almost nostalgic feeling as you notice the subtle hints of the iconic singer song writers Pop influences which include Jenifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and Anastacia yet her vocal capacity surpasses them all in her stand-out track Freight Train, she ranges from smooth and sultry to strong and roaring vocals. I only hope she can stop playing Pop covers at Weddings soon and takes her energetic passion and creates some incredible fusions of Pop mixed with her enigmatic Rock Soul sound.

The American singer song writer from Rockaway, New Jersey built her empire singing at private functions before being spotted by Totally Square Records for her euphoric and empowering sound.

Freight Train is just one of the tracks off her debut album Walking on The Sand which was released earlier this year. I can only imagine her talent in a stripped back performance as I can assume this track has produced beyond original recognition and the overall effect was slightly cringe worthy. Hell, it was cheesy enough to be played on the radio.

Head on over to Totally Square Record’s to check out her high energy debut Freight Train now:

The track progresses with Ska tones reverberating from the guitar with transient slips of melody from the verse to the chorus. The track has an angelic aura about it twined with the exuberance of one of the most confident women that you’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to expressing herself in a midst of raucous energy. The sound dominates its sweet euphoric vibe. The vocals are as clear as glass fracturing into a thousand pieces through the rhythm of this track. Ekaterine Music is the new musical venture from visionary Moscow born singer song writer Ekartine Goglidze whose music soon caught the attention of the BBC.
