The Startin’ Lineup & Ryanne Abraham go for fun times again with ‘Day Drinkin’

The Startin’ Lineup & Ryanne Abraham go ‘Day Drinkin‘ and this is a terrific song that helps us reminisce easier times.

This Chicago-based Hip Hop/R&B group comprises of rappers, singers, producers, writers plus sound engineers to keep the engine running smoothly.

This is the summer anthem that we all needed. A song about just enjoying yourself during the day, staying away from the wolves of the night, all in the name of pure fun. Your close friends are right by you, the day is but a youngster and you want to enjoy the day with a few innocent shots of your choice.

Taken off the latest EP ‘Summer League Madness‘, this is a mellow party anthem for those weekend days when you want to have fun. ‘Day Drinkin‘ from The Startin’ Lineup & Ryanne Abraham is the song our tired bodies needed to remember those times that will happen again, when the world calms down.

Chicago emcee Tae Gwapo scorches the mic with touchdown track ”Visions”

Tae Gwapo is a Chicago based indie emcee with a fine flow and he get the MVP with his new track called ”Visions”. This is a life-lesson masterclass with a sumptuous beat that bellows through the speakers with hauntingly beautiful female vocals added in to complete the team.

What are you main goals? This is the story here and the real advice continues. People are either gonna love or hate you. That is facts that might seem hard to understand at first but it will sink in eventually. Tae Gwapo has seen it all and he fully aware of feeding your team and keeping your eyes wide open in this crazy world.

Tae Gwapo’s ”Visions” is without a shadow of a doubt my favorite Hip Hop track of 2020 and this song serves a purpose. This quality storyteller who is on top form and shares his view of the world on this one. I like how self-aware he is and how the fame hasn’t gotten to his head. If anything, it has made him wiser. Turn this up and hit that repeat.

Dreamy Hip Hop lofi-electro with ”Breeze” from Locke Aizen

Chicago emcee Locke Aizen is a fan of a few genres and you can get lost in his music easily. The dew-tipped pleasurable beats that make me so chilled inter-lock like a web of tricks on my heart. This is lofi-hip hop with lots of experimental legs to bite your earlobes just a little.

Breeze” does exactly what the name states. This new track from the US artist breezing into my soul and doesn’t unlatch in the slightest. This is the follow up to the smoky-filled ”Clouded’‘ a song that is also produced effortlessly by Keagz.

Locke Aizen flows in with his new creation ”Breeze” and I am highly impressed here. There is a sad realization here that perhaps he can’t be with the person he feels he should be. The vibes are solid here and this is a terrific song for 2020 to stop the decline.

Jesus Ayala Jr drives in with grungy garage-rock single ”Chance”

Jesus Ayala Jr is a garage-rock singer from Chicago in the USA. Together with an American White Fender Stratocaster, Jesus aims to relive the glory days of the early-2000’s Garage Rock/Indie Rock/Post-Punk Revival era. He is inspired by bands such as The Strokes, The Killers, The Vaccines, Weezer and Arctic Monkeys.

“I’m nostalgic for the nights that people went out to smoke cigarettes, drink cheap beer, and listen to rock bands. The scene changed on me when I was old enough to go out, so I hope we can recreate that” says Jesus.

Ayala Jr.’s new track is an introduction to his guitar driven music. There are lots of catchy choruses, clever lyrics, melodic guitar riffs, star-crossed lovers, ambiguous love triangles and troubled high school principals covered in his music.

Chance” is a splendid song that serves us up a tasty garage mix of quality musicianship from this talented artist. The grooves are deep and the track is a story of life and 2nd chances. Going for your dreams is the message here and not letting go.

Who are you really inside? Do you look at the mirror and not like what you see? This is an age old problem that has engulfed our world. With Social Media dominating our lives, self-love and mental health is even more vital these days. You need to love yourself in a humble manner to fully love someone else.

Chicago Singer-songwriter Jim Soule rolls in with exciting indie rock ”A New Brand of Fiction”

Forget the Days by Jim Soule

Saint Paul, Minnesota was the hometown for singer-songwriter Jim Soule and he is now based in Chicago where his music career has blossomed. He is joined currently by Mike Soule and Chad Wheeling. Together they form a formidable trio who pack the speakers with enthusiastic abandon here with their indie-rock feels.

A New Brand of Fiction” started off as a curious how much sleep will Jim get once his next kid arrives type of song. This vivid lyrics wrapped inside also speaks of a life that sometimes shows you to show more confident and learn from it. Ups and downs.

Forget The Days” is the brand new album from the legend that is Jim Soule and this is a sterling effort from the wily and wise singer-songwriter and masterful poet. This is a song that is characterized by that underdog effort inside your tired bones. Being exhausted and working all the time is now a new norm that shouldn’t be.

The band impress on this song with this strong indie-rock bluesy feel. A winning song for a society that is shouting for heroes and positive music.

Unique Chicago outfit No Serial Killer release peaceful ”The Sweetest Cyborg”

No Serial Killer by No Serial Killer

I have never heard anything quite like this. Sometimes a song starts playing into your ears and you are absolutely mind-blown. I came in with zero expectations and No Serial Killer delivered my soul & ears a wonderful high five packed with a punch of peace.

No Serial Killer is the phenomenally creative brainchild of A.K.M. A self-taught pianist and songwriter, A.K.M. wrote the lyrics for all 30 songs on the full album and was the music director for this project. A.K.M. plays the piano like a bass guitar, hence the term ‘bass piano’. With such uniqueness, it’s no wonder that this is could be one of the most important releases of 2020. With all that is going on in the USA, this peaceful message came at precisely the right time.

‘The Sweetest Cyborg” feels like a song that is from Better Call Saul, it is old school by nature with the sweetly caressed vocals from Shaley Scott. The song takes us on a magic carpet ride with a message of love and the consistency of the track is so impressive. Chicago’s No Serial Killer deserve lots of appreciation for this quality song and their whole project as a whole.

Get yourself into the peaceful project from this amazing act that will blow your mind via Bandcamp.
