Avant-Garde hip-hop originalist, Chekmayte, created a subversive masterpiece with his glitchy hit, What U Thought? After overcoming life on the streets through sheer grit and persevering endurance, Chekmayte thrives through his music as an artist backed by Goodfellas Records. While many artists keep their influence to a singular coast, Chekmayte’s experience travelling through New York, The Bay Area, and Philly has expanded his urban palette to a scintillatingly distinctive effect. Fans of Scarface, Devin and Jadakiss will want to save space on their radar.

Chekmayte knows that excellence is flowing through his veins on Flexx

Knowing that no one can come close (even in their dreams) to his fiery cypher-like steam with intent, Chekmayte urges others to turn up that AC as he is on a mission to stay fresh forever on Flexx.

Chekmayte is a Washington, DC-based indie hip hop artist who seems to shred mics to their core as he transforms our thoughts deeply into his story.

”Got off to fast start in the game, but got caught up in life. Bounced around from state to state and now my aim is to give you my story uncut.” ~ Chekmayte

Winning at the game, many play but cannot completely comprehend at all until they are six feet under, Chekmayte has seemingly risen back to prominence despite the odds being stacked heavily against him. Showing us that anything is possible in this selfish world if we can only believe in our talents, this is a hugely memorable rap explosion from an old school soul.

Flexx from Washington, DC-based indie hip hop artist Chekmayte is a top-notch display from an underground rapper who has bided his time. After sorting out family issues and keeping on the down low commercially, it feels like we have a new lyrical master to crown. With a rap style that urges us to listen closer inside his raw delivery, this is a wake up call to the streets. A new King is coming.

DC’s most conceptual hip hop artist, Chekmayte brings the resistance in his dark rap track, Midnight

In his first release of 2022, Midnight, the artfully conceptional alternative rapper, Checkmayte has unveiled a chillingly dark feat of experimentalism, which can only be described as Lynchian.

The creeping bass and Chekmayte’s commitment to ominously alluding to how unjust the world is for the oppressed that will know little more than the pressure of the boot on their neck make for a disturbingly immersive aural experience.  Resisting repressive regimes should never feel comfortable, which is important to remember in our era where revolutions have their own merch. There’s little room to wonder why the DC born and raised artist has become one of the hottest names in his hip hop scene since making his debut in 2020. We can’t wait to hear what follows Midnight.

Shooting 3’s: DC rapper Chekmayte collects and bounces on move-filled ‘Chek Da Track’

As he stretches through on that new age pimp style that has him dusting off the competition like they weren’t there, to begin with, Chekmayte sounds in inspired form with the go-get-it new single all about just going for it on ‘Chek Da Track‘.

Chekmayte is a Washington, DC-based indie hip-hop artist. He is a top-shelf rapper who flows with an unmistakable style that is filled with his signature honest flow that pushes him into the limelight each time he shines.

Bringing his rugged flow to the fore with that likeable confidence, Chekmayte knocks any pieces off the board that doesn’t fit on this terrific new single that features a bass-thumping beat that needs to be turned up on full volume. This is that entertaining hip-hop that includes a real message, as we eloquently discover what the accurate course of action is when faced with those who talk a lot but bring very little to the table.
