Ashley Singh – Through the Pain: A Debut of Modern Indie Pop

Ashley Singh has made their debut with their catchy pensive Indie Pop single “Through the Pain”. If you’re always keen to check out ahead of the curve hits, Through the Pain will undoubtedly make a welcome addition to your playlists.

By mixing bluesy, gritty pensive guitar progressions and snappy electronic percussion, Through the Pain has plenty of distinction to offer. It’s not all too often that we come across earworms which also offer plenty of lyrical depth. But you’ll be able to expect plenty of deep melodic hooks alongside bitter-sweet emotion which definitely doesn’t fail to resonate.

The production had a slightly Lo-Fi feel, yet, this only served to amplify the potency of the raw expression which had been poured into Through the Pain which feels like a natural progression on from bands such as Arctic Monkeys. It’s going to be exciting to see where Ashley Singh takes their sound next.

Ala Ghawas – Red: Virtuosic Chamber Pop

https://soundcloud.com/alaghawas/red

Every now and again, I get a stark reminder of just how powerful a soundscape can be. The most recent single to leave me floored was the stunningly composed piano-led Folk Blues single “Red” from Bahrain-based artist Ala Ghawas.

There may be waves of melancholia in the poised melodic ebbs and flows which are more than capable of pulling you under. But there’s plenty of comfort to be found in the sublime pensive semi-orchestral arrangement along with Ala Ghawas’s magnetically warm vocals joined by ethereal choir backing vocals

Any fans of Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Nadine Shah are definitely going to want to check out Red along with the other virtuosic singles released by the deftly talented artist.

Marc Ambrosia – I Believe in Destiny: Ardently Evocative Blues Pop

Moody, Bluesy Pop which has the potential to pierce you through pure Soul may be in relatively short supply, but thankfully, Marc Ambrosia’s 2019 upcoming album “Unleashed” release fills the gap perfectly. “I Believe in Destiny” is the perfect introduction to Marc Ambrosia’s evocative song writing style. With I Believe in Destiny, a steady beat props up Post Punk-style guitars which feed into an instrumental arrangement to provide punchy energy while Marc Ambrosia’s vocals find the perfect balance between melancholic and ardent passion. There are very few up and coming artists with the same command of harmony, so, it doesn’t seem likely that Marc Ambrosia’s album which will be released on May 17th will be easily ignored.

You’ll have to wait a little longer before you can check out Marc Ambrosia’s single for yourselves, but in the meantime, head on over to SoundCloud and check out their earlier releases.
