Liverpool’s The Shipbuilders howl rather terrifically at ‘The Moon’ with impressive vigour you can’t possibly forget

With a splendid song that has you thinking that you are in the middle of a movie that is about to show you the twist, The Shipbuilders are possibly at their absolute best on their new single that will have you looking far into something that fascinates the whole world called ‘The Moon‘.

The Shipbuilders is a Liverpool, UK-based rock band who make that type of cowboy-like sing-a-long wonder that will have you feeling so much better about life.

Since releasing their first EP, ‘Something in the Water’ in 2016, the band have continuously expanded their sound and scope of influences to create a world where sparkling pop wonders are nestled between Spanish Civil War laments, gypsy arias, and chaotic, shambolic odes to drinking, death and everything in between.” ~ The Shipbuilders

Giving you the sense that they would love to share a cold one after the gig and have a laugh with, The Shipbuilders confidently assemble a riveting track that is right up there with one of the most passionately enthralling efforts of 2022 so far.

The Moon‘ from the original Liverpool-based rock act The Shipbuilders, is a party-loving, mood-swinging, drink-chugging gem that will have you feeling that you have just witnessed something rather special. This is a band to play loud when you are in the mood to let loose – and just take your heart and soul into a happier place – to launch your vocals into the sky until you feel the urge to close your eyes with a huge grin on your face.

The alt-rock powerhouse, Silence in Surrender, is ‘Coming Up’ in the first single to be released from their forthcoming album.

South West London’s riffiest prodigal sons of hard rock, Silence in Surrender, have teased what it is to come in their forthcoming album with the release of the first single, Coming Up.

As soon as I hit play, the virtuosic furore shunted me right back to the early 00s metal and hard rock scene; as the dynamic track progresses, they keep the instrumental curveballs coming with the infusion of thrash and the Seattle sound.

I never thought I would see the day when a track could appease fans of Mastodon, Bring Me the Horizon, Faith No More, Velvet Underground and Pixies simultaneously, but Silence in Surrender delivered that and a whole lot more with Coming Up. It appears that they’re the only one that got the memo about bringing the sex appeal back to rock too – the guitar solos should come with an X-Rating.

Coming Up is due for release on March 4th. You can check out the official music video via YouTube.

The Magnapinna brought in the new wave of no-wave with ‘Party Rumours’

Party Rumours by The Magnapinna

With riotous vocal reminiscence to Against Me paired with their scuzzily volatile new wave energy, The Magnapinna’s single, Party Rumours, is just a few voltages short of taking a bath with a toaster.

The Magnapinna started as an online international outfit before evolving into an Ireland-hailing collective that has garnered positive press across the board. They have been lauded by Kerrang, who rightly observed the maniacally eccentric band are like no other.

The title single from their 2022 LP has all the party rock energy of Andrew WK’s Party Hard paired with the discordant punk edge of Dead Kennedys and lofty nuances of surf punk in the gorgeously layered backing vocals. The LP itself scales the entirety of the alt-rock spectrum in absorbingly visceral fashion and lets The Magnapinna’s Mike Patton influence shine through.

Party Rumours is now available to stream and purchase via Bandcamp.

LA-based metal band GreenblacK decides to say no to all the fake noise on the powerful ‘Not Today’

With their 3rd single that sizzles the speakers and heats up your emotions, GreenblacK vows to forever ignore those showoff types who are always exhibiting their minimal achievements with ‘Not Today‘.

GreenblacK is a high voltage Los Angeles, California-based metal band that is led by Haifa, Israel-born lead vocalist/guitarist Yohai Portal.

Like every song we’ve written so far, the process was somewhat backwards. We first created the music and song structure, and only then did I start writing lyrics to what inspired me from the tracks we recorded. There are no specific rules on how to do it. It just happened to be how we flow naturally.” ~ Yohai Portal

GreenblacK sends us into a thoughtful place with a thumping track that is all about realizing that you are so tired of those fake jokers who seem to thrive in a social media world that can take you for a fool. The vocals here are rather full-paced and dispatches your whole soul in a dizzy space, with a soundscape that is raw and just a great listen as you nod your head in agreement with the sentiment portrayed.

Not Today‘ from bass-shredding Los Angeles-based metal band GreenblacK, is a fake-slashing effort that gets a topic off their chest that has been burning deep inside for too long. With so many humans trying to impress when they are actually just lying through life to get money and attention out of others, this is an important message that has you feeling so inspired by this extra loud experience.

Knowing what is real and what isn’t, is the vital key that will open so many doors that can lead you in different directions.

San Raquel deliver sheer funk-rock salacious soul in their latest single, Redrawn Lines

The London-based alt-rock outfit, San Raquel, is in fine form once again in their latest single, Redrawn Lines. After forming a decade ago, they’ve continued to hone in on their eclectically absorbing experimental style that pulls in funk-rock, proto-punk and Hendrix style solos.

The seductive semi-crooned vocals in Redrawn Lines are sure to serenade any fans of Chris Cornell; in the instrumentals, there’s a untameably wild Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ style furore that raises Redrawn Lines to anthemic heights. With the warm guitar notes against the handclaps, steady rhythmic percussion and relentlessly dynamic basslines, it’s impossible not to drink in a little of the salaciously demure funk-rock energy.

Redrawn Lines is now available to stream via SoundCloud. It is the first single released from their new EP, Where You End, and I Begin, which is due for release on April 8th.

The Formerly Misinformed is a Fort Worth, Texas-based indie-alternative rock 4-piece family band that make a loving blend of authentic music that is nostalgically genuine.

Stylistically, their music is rooted in sadness and isolation; themes they admit are often part of their favorite music.” ~ The Formerly Misinformed
