CARLOTTA answered existential questions with etherealism in her debut single, Angel

Fans of The Neighbourhood, Lana Del Ray, and boygenius have a brand-new emissary of ethereally-hued indie pop to affix to their radar after CARLOTTA, an openly avowed poetic symphonist to the dreamers and lovers, released her debut single, Angel.

Her artful approach to poignantly reflecting on how love, faith, and self-discovery often intersect as we try to comprehend our intrinsic identity while grappling with external factors capable of knocking our authenticity out of kilter tracks the highs and lows through the juxtaposing transcendent and turbulent tones.

The singer-songwriter’s vocal register is rendered with the same raw evocative power as Angel Olsen as she pours her heartbroken candour on the instrumentals that allow Angel to become so much more than your average lovelorn hit. CARLOTTA existentially questions what it means to believe in something that has dematerialised and how possible it is to find hope in desolation.

“The message behind ‘Angel’ is that even when love is hard or fails to last, it’s important to believe that it exists in the world and most importantly, that you remain a believer in the goodness of people despite your heartbreak. It’s a song about faith and holding onto nothing except this exact moment.”

Angel was officially released on June 6th; stream the single on Spotify.

Trouble: Camila Knight hopes for one more chance in love on no need to say goodbye

Hoping for more time to cross the river and save this drowning romance, Camila Knight displays so much strength on the loving anthem to drift all doubts away with no need to say goodbye.

Camila Knight is an eclectic alt-pop singer-songwriter who performs with so much grace and desire on each one of her stunning soundtracks.

I wrote this song in mid-August 2022 building it up on an initial idea that I had for a chorus melody. I composed it on my old piano in my cosy basement studio adding in the melody for the verses and lyrics. After some alone time and roughly two songwriting sessions, the song was ready. As soon as I finished it I played it acoustically on Twitch and then started rehearsing it with my band. Recorded a demo in my home studio and then at the beginning of October 2022 we went to the recording studio to record drums (Jorge Gándara). Afterwards, I worked on the production and mixing/mastering remotely across the continents. The song was produced by the wonderful Isaiah Jose and was mixed/mastered by the amazing Mike Dwyer that collaborated with such great artists as Shawn Mendes, Jade Bird, Vance Joy and The Lumineers.” ~ Camila Knight

After purring our trepidations away like a caring angel on Brave from December 2021, Camila Knight soars from the pain and aviates towards the happy place she feels ready for. Showing us why her music has been so heavily streamed all over the globe, we find a truly soul-healing artist to believe in.

no need to say goodbye by the superb and rising alt-pop singer-songwriter Camila Knight is a rather fuse-friendly soundtrack to turn on loud when additional inspiration is required.

With a mind-soothing single to soar high inside when the storms are still brewing, this is a supreme endeavour made for the world to heal all wounds no matter the current climate.

Polyna transfixes our hearts on ‘Angel’

Angel‘ is the brand new release from the fast-rising Polyna and she certainly has our attention.

Polyna originally hails from a ‘dark town’ in Siberia which doesn’t appear on any map at all and is a Plutonium making town. She wasn’t going to let this stand in her way and embarked on an artistic career which eventually saw her go on to become one of the most successful performers in Moscow’s artistic community.

Polyna now lives in East London in the UK. She is currently preparing to release her debut album which is a collection of Arctic, frosted art-pop with emotional and sometimes dramatic intimacy. This is such a cinematic marvel to behold and you can see the talent dripping off the speakers. Her music could be called angel-pop as her music has that effect on your soul.

Angel‘ from Polyna is a terrific song and I get lost in her music. She is one artist to keep an eye on as you just know that she would be amazing live.

Jamie Benkert Talks Wasted Love

There are two types of maverick artists: the ones who adopt different styles as a way of switching costumes, and the ones who take a variety of musical concepts and subvert them wholly to their own ideas, and their own identities. Jamie Benkert is clearly the latter. Her new single aptly entitled, “Wasted Love,” is a musical conglomerate of creativity, passion, and breathtakingly beautiful interpretations of musical sensation.

The song couldn’t have a better title.  The instrumentation employs a wide range of orchestrated sounds, dancing from subtle pop influenced patterns, to symphony infused arrangements, back to whimsical guitars yielding harmonious moments of both beauty and tension. The score is erupting with musical genius. Jamie’s voice dances all over this rhythmic beauty, her voice is boisterous, light hearted, and fun. I love the musical breaks, and the fun lyrics, I could easily hear this song blaring out of the speakers of a college dorm, suburban home, or just a teeny bopping teenage who knows good music. Solid track.
