Sentry takes us to Yesteryear with his latest future bass production.

If any up and coming electronica artist has what it takes to create a new trajectory in the evolution of future bass, it is the 21-year-old UK pioneer, Sentry.

By using natural elements in his ambient work that cuts with an atmospheric chill, despite the warm organic textures weaved into the production, you can’t help but be arrested by the cinematic flair exhibited in Yesteryear.

The first drop is a harsh and scuzzy descent into discord; from there on out, the basslines tear away at any ambience the prelude offered and leaves you galvanised by the alchemic synthesised momentum.

Yesteryear is now available to stream on Spotify.

Sonarus – On My Way: Multiculturally Eclectic EDM

Dundee, Scotland-hailing artist, Sonarus brought her multicultural and multi-ethnic roots to her latest mesmerising single, ‘On My Way’. With elements of Afro Tech, Progressive Tech and Trance all breathing life into the galvanising mix, it’s as euphoric as it is intricately ingenious.

As trippy beats indulgently jar against arrestive synth-led melodies, Sonarus paints right across the tonal palette with cold chilling tones brushing up against transcendently light entrancing beats. Yet, the true hypnotic essence of On My Way lies within Sonarus’ smoothly evocative vocal timbre which is as close to an aural cuddle as you’re going to get.

If you could imagine what it would sound like if Shiny Toy Guns and Warpaint met in the middle, you’ll get an idea of what is in store when you hit play on this relentlessly enrapturing release.

Ackson – Blue Flux: Ambiently Dark Experimental Electronica

https://soundcloud.com/acksonmusic/blue-flux-1

Judging by the hype around Alt Electronica artist and producer Ackson’s latest single “Blue Flux”, I’m not the only one who likes to delve into electronically contorted, genre-melting indulgently unpredictable soundscapes.

Blue Flux is the second single to be released from their EP “9TEEN8E6”, a collection of tracks which ooze ingenuity and will pierce you with the striking distinction. From Hip Hop to Glitch to Jazz to Ambiently Dark Progressive Techno, you’ll find all of that and more in the consistently beguiling instrumental track which becomes more immersive with every new evolution.

If you place any new electronica producer on your radar this year, make it Ackson.  Their ability to spill soul and dystopically cathartic vibes into obscurely arrestive arrangements is unparalleled.

You can check out Blue Flux which dropped on June 25th along with Ackson’s earlier releases by heading over to SoundCloud now.
