Experimental artist Tyler Smith makes their Reverb-Drenched Hip Hop debut with “30000” ft. Corwin

Up and coming Alt Hip Hop artist Tyler Smith has recently made their debut with the mesmerising dreamscape “30000” ft. Corwin.

The track kicks off with the vocals sitting dominantly in the mix, which puts a captivating intimacy behind 30000 as Tyler Smith allows the verses run through in a smooth velvety spoken word format. Naturally, 30000 is immersive right from the very first verse.

But don’t get too attached with the poetry, because as the track progresses, the instrumentals take over and layers of hazy reverb-drenched Dream Wave is spilt along with plenty of lucid catharsis.

I can’t say I’ve ever heard a track which could simultaneously enamour Shoegaze and Hip Hop fans before.  But what I am sure of is that Tyler Smith is going to have no trouble setting themselves apart with distinction.

Jack Murphy – Trading: Ambient Hip Hop fit for Your 2019 Playlists

It would be easy to assume that Jack Murphy created his single “Trading” as an act of genre-defiance. Within the soundscape you get to sample elements from Indie, Hip Hop, and EDM in a seamless blend as the fluidity of his vocals sweep through the atmospherically layered mix. The drum pads provide the backbone to the rest of the track which comes together through a smorgasbord of haunting effects making that little bit easier to be snared by the lyrical hooks.

You can check out Jack Murphy’s single Trading along with the rest of his debut albums for yourselves by heading over to Spotify. With no two tracks the same each stands as a testament to the diversity of the up and coming artist’s talent which is often tinged with melancholy, yet the sound retains a magnetic vibrancy which makes skipping a track an act of aural blasphemy.
