Bg5ive has made their debut with smooth atmospheric Hip Hop hit “Made for This”

Bg5ive’s debut Hip Hop track “Made for This” isn’t just polished, it’s cinematic. And the nuanced sleek feeling doesn’t just end with the production and the smooth atmospheric beats. It carries right through to Bg5ive’s introspective-deep rap bars which allow you to feel that they definitely didn’t hold back when it came to soaking Made for This in pure soul.

Even though Made for This feels dark in part, it still offers a cathartic, ambient, vibing feel whilst still feeding you plenty of momentum.

If you appreciate the resounding melodic vibe behind Made for This, you’ll definitely want Bg5ive on your radars in 2020. He’s got plenty of urban earworms in the pipeline to be released this year.

Yung Catboii – LUV ADDICT: Hypnotically Lucid Hip Hop

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSBHrzCoZM8

There aren’t many Hip Hop artists who can leave me enamoured by a prelude. But discernibly, Yung Catboii isn’t an average Hip Hop artist.

Their latest single “LUV ADDICT” is tender, intimate, and thanks to the Indie melodic spacey vibe, it’s bordering on hypnotic.

Archetypal song structures were discarded as Yung Catboii went all-in on the experimentalism for this wavily romantic downtempo offering of urban alchemy produced by FRAXILLE. The end of LUV ADDICT comes without warning – just a sudden disconnect from the concordantly polished mesmerism which you’ve been fed in the two minutes previous. I can’t help but feel that such a harsh ending is typical of the love affairs which inspired Yung Catboii’s Rap bars.

Ford Sharpless – Blue? : Ambient Urban Lo-Fi Instrumental Hip Hop

Ford Sharpless dropped their highly-anticipated Instrumental Lo-Fi Hip Hop album “The Cool Era” in November 2019. And it’s exactly what it says on the tin.

The lucid Jazz-soaked beats may be mellow, yet Ford Sharpless’ production skills ensure that each progression spills plenty of winding cathartic mesmerism. Listening to all 13 tracks is highly recommended, but the perfect introduction to their ambient urban nuanced style is the standout track “Blue?”.

The US-based artist first made their inception back in 2003, in the 16 years since they’ve mastered the ability to offer polished aural bliss in their soundscapes. Furthermore, they do it with plenty of distinction.

Jasz Official – Thinking Bout LA: Smoothly Ambient Hip Hop

https://soundcloud.com/jaszofficial/jaszla

Jasz Official’s standout single “Thinking Bout LA” offers something rarely found in Hip Hop; a cathartically lucid aural experience where there’s no compromise on lyrical depth, vocal conviction, vibe, or soul.

The US up and coming Hip Hop artist’s approach to downtempo is nothing short of transfixing, and Shai Melo’s deft production skills make Thinking Bout LA one of the smoothest mixes which you could add to your playlists.

The momentum may ebb and flow in the jazzy progressions, but right the way through the four-minute duration you’re left arrested by the transcendentally warm tones.

Alex Forte has dropped their latest Jazzy freestyle mix “RoseGold Freestyle”

Breaking Hip Hop artist Alex Forte has recently dropped his latest Jazzy mix “RoseGold Freestyle”. It’s playful, it’s charismatic, and it packs in plenty of ambience around the solid melodic beats.

Instead of waiting for the hooks to reel you in, right from the first verse in RoseGold Freestyle, you’re locked into a mellifluous electronic arrangement combined with equally as fluid downtempo Rap verses. Freestyle Hip Hop may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but there is a lot to be said for how Alex Forte has thrown away the usual constraints which come alongside archetypal track structures and cooked up a naturally immersive mix.

Any fans of Kanye West, Jay Z, and Drake won’t want to hang around putting Alex Forte on their radars. Each new release from the artist is a testament to their perpetually evolving talent.

George Flyer – Paranoia: A Deeply Narrative Trap Lullaby

George Flyer

After a six month stint between releases, Trap artist George Flyer is ready to drop their most immersive track yet. “Paranoia” perfectly captures the anxiety seems to be becoming increasingly more prevalent in our society as we all struggle to find meaning in an order-less world.

The track follows the narrative of a man directionless and only informed by their problems while trying to live in spite of their pain. Plenty of us would be lying if we said that’s an emotion which we’ve never experienced. George Flyer’s vocals are impossibly easy to listen to, there’s a vulnerability to their verses instead of abrasive aggression which makes it all too easy to make a connection to their lyrics.

If anyone can restore the reputation of Trap as an aggressive genre, it’s George Flyer. The Alt Trap track weaves in endearingly melodic elements of Folk to give Paranoia a playful friendly tonality which has plenty in common with the orchestral electronic folk created by Cosmo Sheldrake.

You’ll have to wait a little longer before you can check out Paranoia for yourselves. In the meantime, head on over to SoundCloud to listen to their earlier releases.

DeUce Double has dropped their latest ambient Hip Hop drop “Problems”

Up and coming Rap artist DeUce Double dropped their latest single “Problems” (Naked Juice) on September 10th and shared a smooth urban jam with the airwaves. If your Ambient Hip Hop playlists need shaking up, Problems would be a cathartic way to start.

Problems may be a far cry from DeUce Double’s fierier hits, but the track stands as a testament to their versatility. The downtempo kicks of the drum pads sit against soft reverb-soaked keys creating a solid platform for DeUce Double to lay down their steady R&B-infused Rap verses. And through the perceptibly polished production, the track ties together to offer a fresh new vibe which is all too easy to slip into.

Dommo Lloyd & Tony G – P.N.C. ft Poetess

Dommo Lloyd & Tony G have recently dropped their dynamically urban collaborative album “Vibez”. Through an indulgent mix of R&B, Hip Hop, and Ambient Trap, each of the tracks provides uniquely wavy offerings of electronically rendered rhythm. But there is no better introduction to their collaborative sound than “P.N.C.” which also features the smooth and magnetically feisty vocals from Poetess.

It may not be the most polished soundscape which you’ll hear this year, but P.N.C. still holds plenty of appeal for anyone looking to freshen up their vibe-out playlists. And perhaps more importantly, it provides ample catharsis while at the same time never allowing your attention to falter from the beats which provide the perfect platform for the three vocalists to lay the lyrics on.

Aspen the rapper Releases Their Latest Experimentally Mesmerising Single “Beautiful Chaos III”

It will only take you the first verse of Aspen the rapper’s latest Alt Hip Hop single “Beautiful Chaos III” to realise why they went with that for the chosen title to their prodigally mesmerising single.

With a darkly arrestive prelude which feels like you’ve just hit play on a particularly chilling cut-screen part on a videogame and the rhythmically flawless verses which follow, those looking for authentic Hip Hop won’t be disappointed.

Not only are the beats refreshingly pioneering, but admirably, Aspen the Rapper is one of the lesser found urban artists prepared to pour their soul into their mixes – and it definitely shows. Everything about Beautiful Chaos III feels epic, whilst at the same time, it’s poised, ambient and soulful. It definitely deserves a spot on your ambient Hip Hop playlists.

DNigel Feat-Drakes – Forever You: Lucidly Soothing Ambient Hip Hop

https://www.reverbnation.com/dnigel/song/31172463-i-pick-you?source=artistMusic

Washington, US-Based artist and producer DNigel has recently dropped their most ambiently immersive single yet “Forever You” featuring Drakes.

It may only be a short and sweet lucid offering of wavy downtempo R&B-infused Hip Hop, but it’s still extremely efficacious at drawing you into the resonantly soothing reverb-laden lush mix. The female vocals ethereally hover atop of the tentatively captivating instrumental progressions in perfect synergy.

I can’t say that I’ve encountered many soundscapes which manage to simultaneously resonate as soulful and haunting. But what I am unequivocally sure of is that DNigel has a deft mastery over the production of smooth and sonorous urban tracks.
