Supercoastal brought us back to nature with her electronic intersection between art and music, Botanical Fanatical

One of the freshest names on LA’s electronica scene, Supercoastal, is fresh from the release of her debut album, Blue Noise, which converges as a hypnotic intersection between naturalistic art and music.

The standout single, Botanical Fanatical, starts as an ethereally light feat of trickling ambience before the beats kick in and transform the soundscape into a synesthesia-triggering downtempo exploration of melody. If any new summer release stands leagues apart from the rest, it’s Botanical Fanatical; Supercoastal evidently got off on the right foot with her debut, and we can’t wait for the next installation of artful aural catharsis.

SEN COV smashes electronic archetypes in his latest cinematic breakbeat single, Kotor

Sound designer, artist, composer, and Strange Planet Label founder, SEN COV, has taken his aural mixology skills to the next level with his electronic-archetype-smashing mix, Kotor.

The cold grimey house beats fed through breakbeat progressions welcome you to the dark underbelly of house as SEN COV experiments with electro drill energy and polishes his sound in cinematically dystopic gravitas. We’ve more than had our electronic fill at A&R Factory, but no artist came quite as close as SEN COV came close to sating our hunger for original flair.

EDM artist and producer Isaac Schein has made their debut with their intensely progressive single “I’ll Make It Through” featuring Gabrielle Zwi.

You’ll have trouble deciding what hits harder, the resounding vocals or the striking piano chord progressions which introduce the entrancing mix. There was no anticipating the colossal bass-heavy build-up which I’ll Make It Through contains. From a Neo-Classic score to a high-octane EDM hit which will leave you galvanised. You’ll find all of that and more in the expertly-crafted soundscape which oozes maturity, ingenuity and sheer transfixion.

It is only after I’ll Make It Through has faded to a close do you get an idea of how truly rhythmically arrestive the soundscape was. Debut singles are rarely as exciting as this. Evidently, Isaac Schein is one to watch. Get them on your radar.
