AnLony – Mertsd2ac featuring Anna Maria Olsson

https://anlony.bandcamp.com/track/mertsd2ac-2-ft-anna-maria-olsson

Part of AnLony’s ‘Pe Ra Tu Ja’ EP (the title a sort of modernistic portmanteau of peregrine and thuja), a musical commentary on Anlony’s life during 2019 and 2020, ranging in scope from the birth of his nephew to the political struggles in Hong Kong.

‘Mertsd2ac’ is just shy of five minutes of experimental fusion, starting softly, with building chords over the sounds of rain, thunder, and birdsong, before the vocal, an almost chanting, droning (in an obviously intentional way), building slowly before the beautiful, haunting violin of Anna Maria Olsson slides in around the three minute mark.

Psyrena shows us that life should be bright with electro-pop dream ”Rainbows & Unicorns”

London-based Indie Electro Art-Pop artist Psyrena aka Madeleine Wise is back with ”Rainbows & Unicorns” and this is a color-filled dream that has just blown my mind. In a good way.

Psyrena serves up her own specially designed unique mix of electronica, cinematic scores and pop music all wrapped into glowing legwarmers. We are now entering part 2 Psyrena as she embraces the light and shines through like a happy dream.

Her new single ”Rainbows & Unicorns” is a creamy n’ catchy electro-pop anthem with a clear message to embrace diversity in the world. Bears, mushrooms and fantastic adventures in the woods make a huge feature in the video too.

Born out of the frustrations of social distancing, Psyrena uses her imagination to enter into her own inner technicolor dream world. Mentor Yak Bondy plays a massive part here and these two make a dream team of note.

This track forms part of her forthcoming EP “Quarantella Rockefella” released later this year. We can’t wait for that full release as this is one of the most vividly intriguing songs of 2020. The way this song was made causes my brain to work better and inspires me to smile more. ”Rainbows & Unicorns” from Psyrena is simple magical.

Jeroen Bloeming releases electro-pop inspired new single ”Sky on Fire”

Inspired by his best friend Babette, Jeroen Bloeming is on a mission in 2020. What is that goal? Making beautiful music together with his close friend and make incredible memories. This is what he wants. You can hear it in his voice and feel it in the music. This hunger is there and he wants this real bad.

Jeroen Bloeming takes us on a flight up into the skies with this exciting electro-pop soundtrack. The pain in his voice is very apparent from the way he expresses himself. ”Sky on Fire” feels like he is speaking to his first love. A woman that he cares very deeply about but perhaps the timing is not quite there at this precise moment in time. This is a promising artist who seems to improve all time. I’m excited to see and hear more music as he is only scratching the surface on what he can deliver. With the new album on the way, this is a pure time and this will be a much-awaiting release later on this year.

Indie-Electro producer Nolai drops hot and sensual album ”No Saints at Night”

This is a wonderful mix of songs to get your night all hot and steamy. Searching for the gap between R&B, Pop, Hip Hop and moving within waves of rich and harmonic production is the way this artist feels about his music. He certainly pushes the boundaries. All the songs were self-produced, written, recorded and engineered by Nolai himself. This talented artist must not sleep at all.

Far Away” is the first track off the new release and it gets you in the mood perfectly. With a watery start, things are kicked into the right mood with sensual vocals and you zone out to his voice. This is all about wanting the one that is far away but you can’t stop thinking of the good times.

Desire” is the second song and I love the start. The vocals move from ear to ear and I am intrigued. This track is all about the love desire and we are drawn into a sexy dance. A picture of beauty and knowing what you want with who you want.

Tonight” is the 3rd song off the album and this one is about not really knowing about the girl like you really like. You don’t really care and maybe it’s better not to know too much. You just want to be with her and be close all night. The track certainly lifts up the heat all over a sexy beat that is guaranteed to make babies in 9 months.

Weekend” is the final track and the bass is a bit heavier on the song to impressive levels. Things slow down a bit and once again we are in this complicated love story about wanting just a weekend to make things all better again. This is the cat and the mouse game and will your smooth words work to get the love that you want.

Overall this is an impress release that will be loved on the dance floor due to the quality production and hot lyrics. Nolai is on top of his R&B game and expect his name to be up in lights soon with quality music videos to match his output. ”No Saints at Night” will win many a fan in the bedroom.

Ash Hendriks sparkles with dreamy Electronica-Pop laced ”Above Water”

All it takes is that spark, the bubbling bass speaker to build up slowly. The dazzling vocals catch you off guard and the lights slowly start to come on, revealing a sound that is like no other you have ever heard before in your time on this planet.

Above Water” feels like we are being taught to bide time, build up spiritual energy to the max before unleashing yourself into the studio to make dreamy music that heals.

Manchester’s SZOU drops electro-pop Orwellian reminder with ”Dystopia”

https://soundcloud.com/szoumusic/dystopia

A slow build to tease us in, before dark clouds form and we are lifted into a dream, all created by SZOU. She just wants to be safe and live fear-free from all this madness and uncertainly. A sentiment millions of us feel right now, we just want to be safe and sound too, a simple human right you would think. This is a quality track from vocals to beat, lyrics and delivery. Made in Manchester with love.

With a brilliantly descriptive imagination, SZOU drops a futuristic electro-pop song that is ahead of it’s time. The way she reminds us of the dark times of George Orwell’s game-changing book 1984 and at the same time has produced the song to sound so new school. A remarkable feat indeed which makes her 2020 release ”Dystopia” a song that deserve lots of love and listens. In a world that has completely changed over the last few months, I feel that this is one of the most important releases all year. UK

MASSIVESAD has made their debut with the evocatively futuristic Indie Pop hit “At Least I’m Not Bleeding”

Up and coming artist MASSIVESAD has made their debut with their evocatively futuristic feat of Indie Pop “At Least I’m Not Bleeding”. And it’s safe to say we’re already hooked on their absorbingly connectable sound.

If you’re always on the hunt for soul-steeped stylistic soundscapes, you’ll hit the jackpot with At Least I’m Not Bleeding. It definitely isn’t without stark and pensive sentiment. But under MASSIVESAD’s artfully prodigal prowess, the track offers raw emotion along with affable upbeat melodies and enticingly effect-laden sultry vocals.

If you want a masterclass in how to use vocal reverb, hit play on At Least I’m Not Bleeding and grab a pen. Instead of dampening the emotion, the slightly robotic vocals bring a tight synergy to the track and make it unforgettably entrancing aural experience.

CiiVE – Stationised: Artfully Glacial Alt Electro Pop

CiiVE’s latest single “Stationised” is a glacially crafted indulgent feat of Alt Electronic Pop which any fans of Post-Punk-laced soundscapes are going to want to check out.

Stationised also weaves elements of Ambient Electro Jazz into the mix which introduces tonal warmth into the otherwise cold and haunting yet ethereally mesmerising single. Needless to say, Stationised offers a striking amount of distinction. The authenticity within the electronic instrumentals and samples is only matched by the vocals. It’s moody, it’s artful, and it will undoubtedly freshen up your Electronic Pop playlists.

Lydia Virginia Eck – Memory: Tension-Stripping Experimental Electronic Pop

https://soundcloud.com/lydia-virginia-eck/memory6

“Memory” is just one of the spacey ambient works which feature on up and coming artist Lydia Virginia Eck’s debut Electronic Pop album “Why Be Interesting?” which is due to drop on February 10th.

The experimental Electronic mix feels like the future of catharsis, but more importantly, it absolutely achieves the desired effect. The lush reverb on the light trickling downtempo production provides a tension-stripping aural experience while Lydia Virginia Eck’s lucid and ethereal vocals lace Memory with plenty of harmonic atmosphere.

She may be fresh from inception, yet the US-based artist has discernibly demonstrated with Memory that the freshness of her inception resonates within her sound. If one of your 2020 goals were to be a little more zen this year, Lydia Virginia Eck will lend an aural hand in getting you there.
