AREEN has brought in the future of EDM Pop with their single “Backoff Shut Up”

AREEN

US-based EDM artist and producer AREEN is due to drop their simply mesmeric single “Backoff Shut Up” which finds the perfect balance between driving Electronica and sticky sweet Future Pop.

The progressive pioneering ingenuity which went into Backoff Shut Up stands as a testament to their ability to construct a solid track. Not to mention their talent when it comes to piercing you with the soul projected into it.

Usually, you’d be hard-pressed to find visceral emotion within an EDM mix. Yet, with a chorus which will absolutely floor you, Backoff Shut Up is a track which you’ll struggle to forget. Even from the first verse, you’re thrown headfirst into an intensely romantic soundscape.  Warming to AREEN after hearing the track isn’t a possibility, it’s an inevitability.

You’ll have to wait a little longer before you can check out Backoff Shut Up for yourselves. But in the meantime, you can head on over to SoundCloud and check out their recent releases – they’re all gold.

It’sDub! – Devil Eyes: Mind-Bending Bass-Driven Alt EDM Hip Hop

There’s trippy Hip Hop, and there are mind-bending hits such as It’s Dub!’s latest single “Devil Eyes (Crash)”. Part Trap, part bass-driven EDM, the mix acts as a testament to both the US artist’s ingenuity and to their production talent.

The tonality shifts from creeping and ethereal to caustic and reverberant throughout the mix. But one thing which remains a constant is the amount of energy which has been projected into Devil Eyes which comes with plenty of rhythmic grind.

I’m fairly certain that no one who is lucky enough to stumble across Devil Eyes will be able to resist cranking up the volume and letting the violent lashings of bass leave their synapses rearranged. While it’s hard to find stark reminiscences to another artist’s in Devil Eyes, It’sDub!’s experimental approach could easily be put in the same league as Mike Patton’s.

You can check out Devil Eyes for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud now.

ENTT – Gonna Rain Anyway ft. IAMSUUBI: Flawlessly Absorbing Alt EDM

When it comes to Electronica, finding any amount of distinction can be like finding a needle in a haystack. Up and coming London-based Alt Electro trio ENTT’s latest single “Gonna Rain Anyway” ft. rapper IAMSUUBI is an indulgently magnetic exception to that rule.

The artfully arrestive vocals hook you in from the prelude and evolve in-line with the captivatingly progressive soundscape which gains momentum leading into a genre-mash of EDM, Rock, Pop, and Rap.

Genre-contorting may not be anything new. But there’s no one else around right now creating music which is accessible as it is authentic with the same blend of tones as found in Gonna Rain Anyway.

Hit play and expect powerfully dynamic vocals, absorbing beats, and a fiery tonality. ENTT even found room in the mix to throw in a few intricate riffs for the more Rock-inclined listeners.
