Veggie Freshingtin has released his epic Afrobeat hip hop single, So Smooth.

‘So Smooth’ is the latest unforgettably authentic single from up and coming hip hop artist Veggie Freshingtin. Fans of Akon, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent and Ne-Yo will appreciate the fiery symphonic production and high energy rapid-fire rap bars that pull you deeper into the massive production.

There may not be the greatest synergy between the beats and the vocals, but Veggie Freshingtin’s true to voice vocals still carry plenty of command in the eccentric but infectious all the same single.

So Smooth was officially released on September 12th; it is now available to stream on YouTube.

Orange Joe has delivered an off the Richter Hip Hop hard-hitter with ‘Royal Blue’

Bounding into play like an excitable puppy chasing its own tail and looking expectantly for belly-rubs comes Orange Joe’s ‘Royal Blue’, all 1’43” of Akon-meets-Arrested Development grooving hip hop charm. It grinds, it’s got serious flow, there’s humour and irony in the lyrics but there’s serious bump’n’grind in the track too.

‘Royal Blue’ is audacious, full of pep and vitality, a proper party hip hop summer track, all lowrider and air-suspension of a tune with lift and drop and full-on, funky in-your-face charm.

See the video for ‘Royal Blue’ on YouTube; check out Orange Joe, and the Purple Spirit project, here.

Nigerian singer Pizzypresh shows his love with R&B single ‘’Baby Okwu’’

‘Pizzypresh’ is an African R&B singer from Nigeria that loves to sing but mainly focuses on the Afrobeat genre. He seems like a passionate guy who loves to be creative and perform his brand of music.

‘’Baby Okwu’’ is a clear love song and Pizzy sure puts his heart or soul into this one. He has been in the music game since 2014 but has taken his time to gather his music together and then release it when ready.

With this type of R&B, I feel like this artist will be huge back home and in the US. He has a good voice and with some fine-tuning and more experience, he will go places. It would be great if Usher or Akon picked him up and developed this talent.

‘’Pizzypresh’’ is a musician on the rise and we will see how he gets on with the rest of the year and if he can get that one huge breakout song.

Producer and Rapper Curt McGurt releases “Tscon”: Hard hitting Hip-Hop – right up in your face!

It has to be done! There really is no way around it! Curt McGurt is a beloved mixture of Busta Rhymes and Akon with much, much more. His style of rap is jab, jab, punch and repeat! His lyric, deeply articulated and intriguing, and without missing a beat, makes his syncopation complex and flawless. His hook line, “This sh** came outta nowhere” is the only line that is questioned. No-one wakes up in the morning with chops like that. If you did, you would get dragged to church for the next deliverance service! No, Curt McGurt’s craft is seasoned, well honed, well researched and brilliantly delivered.

Like all talented philosophers and orators, McGurt carries you along effortlessly at breakneck speed, never glancing back. It sounds as though his engineer must have been in heaven because there is no evidence of cutting and splicing his vocal together. If that really was one take, it’s a masterpiece that you have to hear. This Gatsby knows how to throw a good party and I’m excited to see what comes next.

Get your note book out and pen to the ready. Listen to “Tscon” here at Spotify.

Tripp 97’ – Bipolar Luv: Infectious Hip Hop

Tripp 97’s latest single, released just ten days ago from his debut album Love Sick, is an infectious, upbeat masterpiece in Hip Hop & Rap.

Tripp 97’ AKA Pretty Flacko Georgi is an underground artist creates a pounding atmospheric sound that’s fuelled with pseudo-macho rage. His single Bipolar Luv flows with flawless style, which no doubt has something to do with the expert production by Hip Hop legend Taylor King.

Tripp 97’ has undoubtable lyrical style, he dominates the tracks on his album with this pounding flow of poetic lyrics that he injects with a playful ‘haters gonna hate’ attitude. His musical styling is somewhat similar to the Hip Hop icons Dr Dre, Akon & Busta Rhymes. If you’re looking for a hard hitting track you can’t really go wrong with any of the tracks on Love Sick, they’re full of momentum thanks to their aggressive fast pace. It’s obvious that there’s an infinite amount of passion behind the entire production. At such a young age, Tripp has mastered his rap sound, making him a force that’s not to be reckoned with on the Hip Hop scene.
