Rielle – Can’t Do This: Empoweringly All-Consuming RnB Pop

Right from the first few notes in RnB artist Rielle’s latest single “Can’t Do This”, you brace yourself to thrown into a hard-hitting melancholic single.

But what the prelude doesn’t prepare you for is the all-consuming nature of the chorus which allows Can’t Do This to stand as the ultimate testament to Rielle’s ability to orchestrate resonantly raw RnB Pop hits.

Even though the track title sounds fairly defeatist, Can’t Do This is irrefutably one of the most empowering RnB Pop singles we’ve heard in quite some time. The resonance isn’t hard to find in the lyrics, especially if you’ve ever had your self-esteem shattered by someone too blind to see your worth in the first place. There may not be many vocal melodies which can compel you to join in on the chorus before you’ve even learnt the lyrics to a track, Rielle has audibly made up for the shortfall with Can’t Do This.

Josh Kab serves up striking soul in his Alt RnB Hip Hop single “If I Cry”

Soul may be the cornerstone of RnB, but there’s a strikingly potent serving of it in up and coming artist Josh Kab’s alternative album “Sad Boy Hours”.

In the Standout track “If I Cry”, Josh Kab has merged 90s RnB, New Wave Trap, and Old School Hip Hop to create a mix which offers unpredictable progressions. One thing which remains as a constant is the level of emotion projected into the mix.

Between the moody rap verses and striking RnB crooning, there’s a smorgasbord of sentiment which isn’t all too shy about resonating. Josh Kab went beyond the usual Sad Hip Hop style with If I Cry by creating an organic track which perceptibly came straight from the soul.

Put Your Self-Worth in Check with Jaonere’s Standout RnB Soul Single “Hopeless”

For a track with such a pessimistic title, Jaonere’s single Hopeless serves up some seriously accordant soul.

The melodically mellow RnB Soul single invites you to slip into the artist’s introspection surrounding their self-worth. And it may inspire you to pontificate on your own. But don’t worry, there’s very little chance of slipping into an existential hole as you listen to the deeply romantic single unfold.

The magnetic grip of the vocal melodies in Hopeless isn’t something that we come across all too often. Neither is the sincerity in the vocal delivery. The London-based singer-songwriter may deliver soulful retro vibes through his music, but you’ll only need to hit play on Hopeless to affirm just how much commercial potential lingers in his sound.

Moniaire – Push It: A Debut of Smooth Rhythmic RnB-Soaked Hip Hop

Up and coming Hip Hop artist Moniaire dropped her debut EP “20/20 Vision” on January 1st. If you think the EP title pun is ingenious, wait until you hear the standout single Push It In.

By switching between RnB Pop style harmonic vocals and unflinchingly authoritative Rap verses, Push It In offers attitude alongside soul in a way which may have been done before, but it’s never quite been done like this before. Moniaire found the perfect balance between sultrily poised and convictive and arrestive to ensure that this track stays with you for long after it has faded to a close. As for the instrumentals, they’re atmospherically melodic from start to finish. Push It In may have a slight 90s RnB vibe, but it’s still a perfect fit for your 2020 playlists.
