Feeling lonely in this distant world: Ireland’s Dubh Lee evolves her sound on ‘Carousel’

Set for audio release on the 20th November 2020 and with the music video dropping in December, this has an honest Bluesy-Rock feel that means you are hooked tight, with the intimate feel presented. The start is full of rhythmical melodies that you feel are so pure and fresh, just the way you like it. Soon we are thrown into a story of loneliness that is so way too normal this year, with the exquisite voice of Irish singer Dubh Lee’s new song called ‘Carousel‘.

Her voice grabs you and feel her pain, the year has been a whirlwind of emotions that has tested the patience of even the most chilled person in the world. The story of being by yourself, trying to be smart and keeping safe, soon you just can’t take it anymore, and you desire that human touch again from friends and your future lover.

With a Blues-Rock Garage style that has so much appeal, the bass-lines are so hot you might need to have a cold shower to cool off. You can’t help but feel the sadness attached, the frustration paramount, in this wild year of 2020. Her voice echoes through your soul, this is a musician that has evolved from Indie-Folk, to a more edgy and gritty sound.

Keep your friends close and enemies closer: ‘Living in fear of’ by Ammar shows his self-awareness with those around him

The energetic  and sweaty start catches your attention right away. We are quickly drawn in deep by these creatively amazing sounds, and wonder what is in store next. Ferociously fast vocals then blend into the Electronic-Hip Hop track with much bluster and energy, this is a dazzling daze of a single made with intentions to prove yourself right. Ammar shows his frustration with those petty and small minded folk that don’t understand his journey on ‘Living in fear of‘.

With an assortment of genres that mesh quite nicely into a quick-fire track with meaning, this is about about spending too much energy on those people that love to bring you down in life. This is a sad occurrence but one that you can grow from, and learnt to deal with, despite how petty it is.

The supremely edgy sound is so fiery and gets you in the mood to deal with some negative humans, that you are completely sick of. The rap style is layered with the electronic vibes that is drummed so enthusiastically, and this is such a true message, sung and rapped with reckless abandon.

This firecracker fuse is lit so brightly and the sparks are all over the place to make this such an entertaining listen. The passion is so catchy and cool, the song is less than two minutes and you will remember this all day.

Ammar opens the book into his vivid world with so much appeal on ‘Living in fear of’. This is a lesson to us all to brush away of all those that want to ruin your vibe, this is your life and you want to be happy as that is all that matters. Not the thoughts of small minded people, who don’t get what you are trying to achieve.

Finding the guiding light within to escape darkness: Benoni Alt Rockers Far From Who We Are lead the way on the inspirational ‘Rise’

The haunting start, the sand flowing downwards in the video, and the almost-clockwork sounds of doom. This grabs your attention, and all leads to a ferociously powerful entry into the minds of a trapped soul. This is a song about getting out of that dark place within your deep soul, and you find yourself stuck like standing in a puddle of glue. South African Alt-Rock act Far From Who We Are, lift themselves to new heights that will need a working parachute on, ‘Rise‘-their new stomping track that dropped on the 20th November 2020 from HopePunk Records.

“Rise” is a dark yet uplifting song with a positive message – it’s about escaping a dark place or difficult situation and finding the strength to get back up and rise above it. 

His vocals are laced with emotion but keeps the tone so tremendously stable, the electric guitar is bursting with energy, and the drums break down the glass of the next door neighbours window. They manage to magnify the sound to encompass Hard Rock and Metal melodies, without getting too hectic, and over the top. The temperature is just right from the sunshine emanating from the Benoni boys, who are ravaging with energy here.

The message of keeping hope in dark times is so relevant, especially now in this much-changed world. Its almost like a bad movie, and keeping mentally sane is proving rather difficult for millions of humans out there. This powerfully portrayed song is a beacon of light in the depths of the sewers of 2020, and finding the light of 2021 is so important to stay sane. Music like this really helps as the band are in scintillating form.

Trying to stay sane in 2020: California’s Natasha Pocket puts feelings into words on ‘Therapy Session (West Mix)’

A groovy and honest guitar-filled sound emanates from the speakers, as we are introduced to a sharp start with so much promise. California’s Natasha Pocket shows the growing frustration with this horrible year on the guitar-filled new single called ‘Therapy Session (West Mix)‘.

Encinitas, California based and full of real feelings that is all about this wild year. This is all about needing to express your feelings and getting to the bottom of that worrying slump that you want to get out of as soon as possible. A year that has made overthinking so much more prominent- due to all the time stuck inside.

With a flourishing Indie-Rock feel with a Lo-Fi base, there are so many lusty layers of solo’s here to keep us all happy. The vocal are quite sad and worrying as the year has taken its toll and some therapy is needed to work out what to do next.

Natasha Pocket’s Therapy Session (West Mix)‘ is a song that is so relevant in modern day times and the carefully curated message puts a thoughtful spin on everything before us. He has an unmistakable style, full of originality in an often sheep-filled world of cliched clones. Deep Gordon is back with the enthusiastic debut track from his ‘Horny‘ EP called ‘Your Horoscope‘.

She has a voice that makes your heart float around in happiness for a few minutes. Husband and Wife make beauty together: Seattle based Tekla Waterfield and Jeff Fielder calm our anxiety with ‘Trouble In Time’

Lockdown 2020 has been a horrible and deadly experience for so many in this torrid year. However, through sadness and misery, light and love makes its way through the smoggy smoke and gives us a massive and well-needed hug. Husband and Wife Indie-Folk duo Tekla Waterfield and Jeff Fielder are the architects of this revival with their latest song called ‘Trouble In Time‘.

The Seattle based duo have a gift of love and this new song pictures this year so perfectly. Things have so hard but we must remember the beauty that is still left in the world. Looking for the positive elements is a much-needed message of hope and speaks the truth.

With a stunningly pure voice and top quality guitar melodies that make you listen twice, Tekla Waterfield and Jeff Fielder are clearly at one with their relationship and make an incredible real team. This is a song to just turn on and reflect with, this is Indie-Folk at its very best.

With a summer daze and bluesy wonder kind of feel, this is a song that needs to be appreciated. This exciting two-piece act called Salvador Mundi and they are here with new track ‘Trouble in Paradise‘- a song that will bring back some memories for you.

A band that have the power to make you follow them, this is something rather fascinating. The vocals take you to another place and the riveting guitar melodies make you wonder about life and what it all means. This is a fresh song that is so tasty for our hungry souls, the chorus gets you in the mood real fast and you feel in an instantly better mood. This is the power of top class music.

Trouble in Paradise‘ from Salvador Mundi is a gritty Blues-Rock journey that feels like you are in a beat-up car with your best friends. The party was so much fun but now things are super hazy and you want to feel normal again but for some reason, you are staying in this dusty zone.
