The story of running away: Closer Than Strangers show their brilliance on the indie-folk gem ‘When I Say Go’

Brother and sister acoustic rock duo Closer Than Strangers return with the soulfully deep indie-folk single ‘When I Say Go’. Taken off their last album called ‘Broken Things’, this is beautifully described story of trying to help someone close when they are in need of a kind face.

With Charlotte performing her wonderful skills on cello and Greg displaying his quality vocals matched with an exciting guitar style, these tow form a formidable team that make such sweet music together.

Their music plans of 2020 were dashed of course due to this horrid pandemic but the family duo have huge goals to record a new album, and tour as much as possible in 2021.

The acoustic melody starts right away as the beautiful sounds emerge from the bed of the story. That feeling when you aren’t sure if you are dreaming or awake is so vivid as you snap back to reality from The Matrix. She is right next to you, broken and cold from running in the night. You want to help but humans will only really listen if they really want to.

His voice is so honest and is such a splendid storyteller. This is the tale of how a small town can break you down and make you feel lost. You want to follow and when they are happy in a new town, you will join them and perhaps you can be together.

Their partnership is unbreakable as Closer Than Strangers bring us an absolute gem on ‘When I Say Go’. Sometimes you need to get out of where you are to fully grow and blossom into what you want to be in life. Having a kind soul there too does help but so does finding your own path, and learning who you really are inside.

Seeking that decision: New York’s Sky Spirals bring their uniquely brilliant Alt-Rock flavor on ‘Don’t Say Maybe’

Long Island, New York cosmic creators Sky Spirals dazzle the galaxies up above with the mind-bending experience that is called ‘Don’t Say Maybe‘.

This is the 2nd Alt-Rock single from the brand new ‘Underneath A Tie-Dye Sky‘ album. The stunning start is filled with a lovely piano-filled intro that is like a calming wave that has come to the shore, after the horrible storm that caused so much damage.

You don’t hear such creative music like this everyday and the intricate layers here are calming and makes you think deeply about people you have met before, that hate to make a proper decision. You like to know what is going on but some others like to hide their true feelings.

”We are interested in exploring the sonic relationships between analog and digital media.”- Sky Spirals

This is the story of wanting an answer and not a middling maybe that doesn’t do anything but cause confusion. It can set you free to say yes or no, the middle is like being stuck in an elevator; you can’t go up, down or get out unless you are Jason Bourne.

Indecision is such a normal thing these days as this frustrates the poetically astute singer-songwriter. The background beat are almost TV-game like at times an this flowing energy field is perfectly constructed and the lyrics are so honest.

New York galaxy travelers Sky Spirals have created a niche style and this is the kind of forward-thinking music that is often ignored. They deserve heaps of credit for making such a gem and ‘Don’t Say Maybe‘ will have you feeling thoughtful and that grumpy 2020 mood will definitely improve.

Looking deep inside your soul: ‘Give Me A Sign’ from the supremely talented multilingual Pop-Rock artist Corinna Jane deals with loss in her own way

Her voice has you transfixed so intently as the story of feeling no pain with a loss, even though you know sadness should be inside you. This is a new single sung with unwavering honesty from the self-motivated German-born, Franco-British singer-songwriter, travel presenter, model and actress Corinna Jane, as she wonders in nature for inspiration on her new pop-rock single ‘Give Me A Sign‘.

Her voice reaches the deepest parts of your body as we delve into dealing with pain and making your own path through life, as you find what really makes you tick inside. She sings with meaning and honesty as her deep lyrics seep into your heart with luster and passion; speaking about feelings that you should feel but for some reason, just don’t. Perhaps the relationship wasn’t close or you are feeling numb at the moment from the freezing world around you. Your heart has been hurt too much and you need time to process what has really happened.

This is a singer-songwriter with such a spectacular style, her strong voice catches you unaware at first and transforms your thoughts to your own feelings and what you feel deep within.

‘Recording the track was like letting two kids run through a sweet shop,’ says Corinna. ‘We were picking and choosing whatever came to our minds and the track grew in a way that neither of us had conceived before writing together.’

The story about how you know you should feel pain but don’t is very relevant in this cold world. Sometimes you feel sad at things that seems small for others, but for you is very meaningful.

Give Me A Sign‘ from London-based singer-songwriter Corinna Jane is a track you won’t be able to forget, as her piercing eyes look deep inside your soul and her honest vocals make your heart beat a bit faster. Saved through music: The broodingly icy sounds of the East Fjords from experimental artist Daníel Hjálmtýsson shows his pain and determination on ‘Volatile’

Icelandic artist Daníel Hjálmtýsson who was born and raised in the clean air of Reykjavik, is here with his exhilarating new song from his debut EP called ‘Volatile’.

After a tough childhood, Daniel turned to music as a savior and he hasn’t looked back since. Instead of feeling sorry for himself and accepting his fate, he decided to build his own destiny and has dedicated his life to making music that is meaningful and different from the rest. He has certainly succeeded and is only just getting started.

This is the kind of music that you might not have heard of before and it’s cinematic climbs are something rather special in this fake world of bubble gum flavored pop, that sticks on most people’s feet and doesn’t let go.

The thumping, scratchy and special effect-type start is so majestic and you feel enlightened by the melody instantly. His voice calmly burrows in and lyrics of mistakes and feelings of being betrayed filter in like a hot cup of coffee. It’s dark and hot, the steam feels like it’s rising from the hallowed ground as I close my eyes and imaging what Daniel’s life has been like to create such a masterpiece of art. His band are on the same page and this song fills you up with flooding feeling of intrigue as you turn the volume up to fully appreciate the music.

This is a matured sound, something that took years to formulate and drives a deep feeling inside your stomach that fills you up like a tasty and home cooked meal. A meal and a song made with love is what the hungry heart needs, in these times of distrust and anxiousness.

‘’The struggle of light and darkness and where I come from.’’- Daníel Hjálmtýsson

Fusing his own fiery spin from major influences such as Leonard Cohen, Mark Lanegan and Nick Cave, Daniel brings us his poetical lyricism, introspective reflections and heartfelt production that hits the sweet spot just right. The mysterious nature here is like going out in the wild for the first time and your heart beats a lot faster here; like you are on the lookout for a hungry bear but know the adventure will be worth it.

The great thing about Daniel is that he has a sound that is genre-defying and with his band mates, they are on a road that is perhaps a bit icy, but exciting nonetheless.

Volatile’ from Daníel Hjálmtýsson is a type of neo-goth experience that will have you a bit scared, rather excited and above all, finding more songs from this magnificent multi-skilled musician. He has beaten the odds and is making sure this chance is not wasted.

Remembering those memorable moments in the day: ‘Back Then Back When’ from Shaney Poo (ft. Zakiyyah) shows us how to respect the past

Shane Alexander aka Shaney Poo is a Boston based, Haitian-American artist, songwriter, actor and producer who is back with his brand new track ‘Back Then Back When’ (ft. Zakiyyah). This riveting release is solely intended as a message of growth, hope and positive energies for a better world that has been closed up and dragged down to the sewers of sludge and darkness.

Released off B.L.A.C Pop Music, this is a fusion of pop, zouk, rap, soul, and kompa, all interwoven into one style by the artist and former house party host. This is a man who did what he needed to do in order to stay out of trouble from the tough streets of Boston, that have claimed many a good soul to its poisoned web of crime and easy temptation.

After changing his music style recently, due to facing many personal experiences such as the loss of family members and friends, this has made the latest music output more of an introspective deep look inside his soul and the maturity shows here.

The vocals from both singers are quite excellent and the rhythm of the track is stupendously executed. There is so much to like here as the lyrics are heartfelt and genuine. The story of how some of the crew didn’t make it, but the ones that did, are around and making it in life. Reminiscing about the past brings you back to the old days for a few moments and you pour one out for the lost souls. The beat is marvelous and this is a quality music video.

Sometimes you have to move back a bit to move forward and this is the message here. Respecting what happened in the past but also keeping an eye on the now and future is the only way to go otherwise you get wrapped up in what could of happened.

Shaney Poo shows the world his music appeal on ‘Back Then Back When’ (ft. Zakiyyah). This is a motivated artist who can do it all and just needs to be patient, build up brick by brick and the right person will emerge to take his career to the next level. Rome wasn’t built in a day they say.

LA musician Huney is on a music and film-making mission in 2020 and she returns with her latest indie-electronic track with Hip Hop flavor called ‘Another Day’.

After learning to play the piano when she was just 9 years old, Huney has since turned her attention to her visual arts training and making meaningful videos. This is a self-motivated creative who has used this horrible pandemic to learn new skills and build her name up as much as possible. When it gets tough, the tough get going.

With an EP on the way in 2021, she has a long-term plan and is building step by step to make sure that her vision is portrayed in the best possible light without any shortcuts.

Her vocals make your back shiver and his raps mesh the two together like ice in water, keeping the vibe cool but chilly real. You feel the energy and remember those times when you just wanted to get out of a place and never return.

Another Day’ (ft. NiSPLASH) from the the incredible LA singer-songwriter Huney is an excellent indie-electro journey that gives you the feeling that these are two artists that truly get it.
