The first time I encountered Stoney Calzoney, I was a little perplexed. The second time around, I was stoked at their return with their latest track “R.I.Pizza”.
For this track, Stoney Calzoney teamed up with Holla Peño to create a feat of Hip Hop with so much bounce, it could be accurately described as hydraulic. I know that you’re probably thinking that a rap artist who bases their identity around pizza would be a little bit of a novelty, and you’d be right if the beats weren’t as flawless as they are in R.I.Pizza.
There’s a nice 90s Hip Hop vibe to the track, but the slick production on the mix brings Stoney Calzoney’s sound well and truly into the 21st century.
