Buzzsaw riffs, tight rolling rhythms, unapologetic sniping antagonism, it all feeds into the aural assault on the UK Government contained in “No Thinking Zone”; the latest single from London-based Punk outfit Splinter.
The single which was released on January 2019 provides a promising antidote to the hysteria and lies sold to us in the Daily Mail while our liberty is slowly stripped away due to the nation’s collective apathy to rub brain cells to protest. All of the accolades may be falling on the IDLES right now, but bands such as Splinter are bringing equally raw and relevant tracks to the table.
Even from the prelude, it’s perceptible that Splinter was never born to assimilate sounds from decades past, the fuzzy, sonic guitar distortion provides the perfect for the slightly Post Punk vocals to resonate with.
