SHYER cracked it. The key to creating an ultimately resonant track is to allow the audience to resonate with the track before they even hit play. I mean, there aren’t many people out there that can’t pair alcohol with arguments in some way or another. Anyway; It would seem as though SHYER found their signature sound with Alcohol & Arguments by using a Garage Rock style intro before the track slips into progression where you’re treated to the upbeat riffs of the Jangle Pop guitar which lifts the track around the female fronted vocals which sit poignantly over the top of the track. There’s a tinge of Country Blues to vocalist’s style, however I couldn’t quite get the reminiscence between SHYER & Paramore out of my mind for the entire duration of the track. That could never be a bad thing though, right?
Keep your eyes & ears peeled for SHYER’s release of Alcohol & Arguments in June 2018 which will be available to download and stream across all platform including SoundCloud, you can also head on over to Facebook & give the Indie Pop Rock powerhouse a like
