I Fucking Hate You (My Love) is the latest single from Seventeenothers.
But I’m sorry, can we just sit in admiration of that track title for just a second before turning the attention to the sludgy masterpiece which the up and coming artist has cooked up?
That should be long enough.
If you like your Alt Rock fuelled by muddy guitar reverb around cataclysmically angular melodies you’re going to be in heaven with I Fucking Hate You. The title is a bigger give away for the sentiment contained in the track than I could ever allude to. That mixed conflicting feeling that you get post break-up is perfectly encapsulated within the angsty rhythm of the track, amplified further by the lyricism and vocals which mix elements of Pop Punk into the otherwise Grungy soundscape.
I have no doubt that this won’t be the last we hear from the Chicago based artist.
You can check out Seventeenother’s single from their latest 2018 EP ‘Needy’ by heading over to Spotify now. Each of the five tracks on the EP stand as testament to the artist’s diversity. The track which follows on from I Fucking Hate You is a much more melancholically driven sound in which the vocalist sounds staggeringly like Michael Stipe.
