When’s the last time you heard a song and your heart dropped as the beat did? Yeah, it’s been a while for me too. But damn. Samzz debut track Let Me Weep feat. Marru sent shivers down my spine. The Hip Hop & Rap artist, evidently doesn’t mind digging the roots of his sound a little deeper than your average urban artists. Samzz has taken his skills and international influence from Beirut, Lebanon to Toronto, where the sound designer has found his sound.
The track is introduced with vibrato operatic vocals, that to be honest I’m glad I listened to in the light of the day. It felt like a horror show was about to unfold, little did I know I was going to get swept into an orchestral masterpiece that may only run for 2:51, but it packs so much twisting rhythm into it’s cacophonies of pure ethereal bliss. Let Me Weep stands as testament to Amjad AK’s production skills. Seriously, I can’t rate this track enough. I can’t wait to hear the rest of the tracks he drops in 2018!
