RYLY may as well be crowned now as the prodigal son of Pop, after checking out his latest Four from his 2018 album ‘the Infinite’, I can honestly say I wasn’t expecting any of the sounds that flowed through the progression of his Pop Rock track. With an intro that wouldn’t be out of place in a Depeche Mode track, an up-vibe stylish Pop chorus, plenty of hooks in between you think that would be enough. Yet, RYLY dropped one of the dirtiest guitar riffs into the middle of the track and completely bowled me over. The Atlanta, US based songwriter and multi-talented musician creates anthemically blissful music that doesn’t require much convincing to fall in love with.
You can check out Four alongside the rest of the track from RYLY’s 2018 album the Infinite on Spotify now, whilst the soundscapes are mixed up to provide a smorgasbord of styles on his 7-track album each track is as stunning as the last.
