The sensuality within Throw it back is palpably raucous even before the track hits the chorus. The melodies flow as light as air whilst the rhythms are entrenched in deep resonance to create the ultimate ethereal experience in the 3 beautiful minutes that your eardrums are tantalised by this track.
When you thought that the track couldn’t get any better, Reck Yosiah breaks into not the most veracious rap you’ve ever heard, but one that pulls you in and is guaranteed to leave you raw after the verse is through. It’s clear that Reck Yosiah has approached Throw it Back with a whole new brand of attack compared to his earlier releases. The flawless production, against the pure soul injected within the track really allows Reck Yosiah to show the world that he’s not just another urban artist. With the tracks poignantly clear beats, beautifully soaring vocals and deep sentimentality it’s definitely up there as one of my favourite RnB Soul tracks of the year.
