In all sincerity, I can say that I’ve never been as transfixed with a music video as I was when I checked out up and coming experimental electronica artist Flo’s single “Mix in A Water”. The stunningly efficacious visuals provided by Lizzy Mikulich amplified the tension of the single and perfectly illustrated the unpredictable and sudden evolutions of sound.
If you thought that Bjork was experimental, prepare for the ultimate aural awakening with Mix in A Water. With delicate woody organic notes trickling between caustic white noise, sporadic infusions of Jazz and phantasmic hushed vocals, slapping a genre label on Flo’s latest track would be an absolute injustice. The transfixing delight may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but those with a taste for artfully pioneering sounds will definitely have their thirst sated with Drink in A Water.
