“Strange” is the stunning new single by acoustic pop artist Plastic Messiah AKA Daniel Karlsson. The melody may have been scarily similar to “Time After Time”, yet, the reinvention of the timeless soundscape was just one of the reasons why the single was resonantly sweet. And with a vocal range as arrestingly wide as Plastic Messiah possesses, it’s hard not to anticipate the up and coming artist climbing his way up the charts. To further the appeal to his sound, the lyrics transcend the usual archetypal lyricism within the genre. It’s no secret that ‘strange’ girls are infinitely endearing. The lyrics to Strange poignantly allude to the frustration felt by someone who loves a dysfunctional person. The lyrics “but you’re my weed supplier” didn’t fail to leave me endeared by the Plastic Messiah.
