“Closer to You” is the debut single from up and coming singer-songwriter Pink Honey Moan who is putting soulful anachronistic Blues Pop back on the airwaves.
The track may have some contemporary Pop inclinations, yet, allowing you to believe Closer to You is firmly rooted in that genre would be an insult to Pink Honey Moan’s smooth genre-mashing approach to his soundscapes.
There’s a slightly vintage tonality to Closer to You, making Pink Honey Moan’s latest single incredibly accessible for anyone who appreciated the slower, pensive edge from Alt 90s artists. It’s not often that I can say that about a contemporary Pop track, but Pink Honey Moan seeks inspiration from the likes of Paul Simon and Bill Withers allowing his own style to come alive with an incredibly rich and warm indulgent appeal.
