Shift your perception on affection with TIBIBI’s ethereal neo-classic single, Remind Me.

‘Remind Me’ is the latest artfully ethereal release from alternative singer-songwriter, producer and engineer, TIBIBI; whose neo-classic works carry the same haunting weight as Portishead while registering as enticingly authentic.

The single melodically spins the story of a person falling in love but not falling deep enough to lose their head. The suitably meditative semi-orchestral synth-pop single allows the lyrics to resonate as a mantra, a promise to yourself that you won’t descend to the depths of love you can’t pull yourself up from.

Delta Fish pushed the boundaries of hip hop even further with his latest single, ‘Dumb and Numb’.

Nashville-based hip hop artist Delta Fish keeps on proving that he’s got the hunger to ravage his way to the top with each new release; the refreshing grooves in his latest single, Dumb and Numb, is the perfect example of his pioneering appetite.

That ‘dumb and numb’ feeling you get when your MH issues start to peak is something that people scarcely talk about, let alone put in their rap bars. Delta Fish managed to create a multi-faceted release that offers all of the usual showy bravadoes along with the most candid lyrics you’re likely to hear this year in the chorus.

The 80s-style synth lines around the steady rattle of the 808s and melodic loops create a magnetic platform for Delta Fish’s bars that flirt with elements of pop and RnB.

Kaiwin has released his latest genre-evading hit, ‘Bitter Taste’, ft. Jay Dior

For his latest release, ‘Bitter Taste’, Dallas-born alt-pop artist Kaiwin collaborated with Jay Dior to create a dynamic hit that crushes genre constraints with pensive looped indie guitars, RnB vibes, fiery trap beats and cloud rap vocals.

Bitter Taste vents the frustration of the relationship pitfalls the average 20-somethings falls into time again; with the up-vibe melodies and the collaborative chemistry that breathes between Kaiwin and Jay Dior, it’s anything but a self-apathy fest.

Along with his mission to climb the charts, Kaiwin seeks to crush the stigma associated with the Asian population and to build an anti-racist community to create awareness and spark movements, if necessary. Given that the major pop acts are apathetic at best when it comes to voicing their opinions, it’s a refreshing change to see an artist as passionate about positive social progression as they are about establishing themselves in the industry.

Jakliu – Frustration, stagnation, isolation, and loneliness with “CATSPIT”

Hot on the heels of his recent remix of Irish electropop artist Ae Mak’s ‘Jamie’ comes this, Jakliu’s debut single ‘CATSPIT’. Gentle, pulled-back vocals mixed with repeating drone notes and electronic drum loops, ‘CATSPIT’ is a mix of ambient, electropop, and electronica, taking in later Radiohead and Thom Yorke’s solo work, bits of the Aphex Twin, Dave Monolith, Caribou, Beatwife, Luke Vibert, and the whole gamut of Warp and Rephlex records stablemates.

It’s chilled and mellow yet challenging and forthright, inspired by themes of stagnation and isolation and Jakliu’s frustration at the mediocrity of everyday life and at the slow decline of creativity and arts in a world fixated on cheap, easy fame and fleeting Social Media celebrity.

V!V passes the vibe check with her electronic funk-pop earworm, ‘MY NRG’.

Funky moody pop may sound like a paradox, but that’s exactly what will greet you when you hit play on the latest single released by alt-pop singer-songwriter V!V.

MY NRG is the sophomore single from the Detroit-born Chicago-raised artist that delved into Chicago’s music scene by collaborating with up and coming rappers and vocalists. After taking plenty of inspiration from Tyler, the Creator, V!V started to create her grooving loops to flow with her vocals that can only be described as radiant.

MY NRG comes with a smorgasbord of attitude, but it is all in the name of demonstrating the importance of protecting your energy and knowing your worth. It is an infectiously empowering track that you will need on your summer pop playlists as soon as you hear it.

Finding The Path: Keeper Lo bravely sees the light again after much darkness on ‘Venus’

Taken off his much-anticipated ten-track ‘Moly‘ album, Keeper Lo takes us to a new place of renewed vision for our souls to learn from on the superb ‘Venus‘.

Keeper Lo is an electric Chambéry, France-based glitch-electronic producer. He smartly webs a vividly inviting style of music which has your body twitching with utter delight.

You quickly feel a sense of thrillingly emphatic euphoria whilst your eardrums shudder in anticipation — the vocals and busy beat stretches your mind like a rubber band — each second shows you where the key is hiding, so you may find yourself away from where you are locked in currently.

”At the age of 8 years old, I was living in Lyon, France, with my father. He used to play on loop an old CD compiling the best tracks of the early 2000’s House Music.” – Keeper Lo

This is a song that catches you slightly unawares, the stunning dreamy texture feels distinctively like you are dipping yourself in a refreshing waterfall, after a long hot and sticky day. Each moment in this almost unbelievable state has you feel re-energized to be better and to open the window, to climb out of the undesirable cold and dark corner of gloom.

‘Venus‘ from the French glitch-electronic producer Keeper Lo, has your racing thoughts up above high, as you speed happily through a track of disbelief with the skill-level of this young artist easy to hear. He looks up where others look down — as he takes us for a galaxy-hopping journey in his reflecting spacecraft — that has you feeling like you are definitely on another planet.

Seeing that bright light in your eyes again, is certainly a feeling you never want to forget.

SER gets the ‘Green Light’ in her genre-melding ambient track

Genre- and gender-fluid, LA Westside based SER grew up as a jazz-playing alto saxophonist, but – multi-instrumentalism to the fore, taking in guitar and piano – now goes the full electronic route with sequencing, beats, and vocal loops to bring us ‘Green Light’, A gentle vocal track overlaying chilled, mellow backing and clipped, electronic drums. SER’s arrangement is sparse without being empty, their vocal delivery light and fluid atop the space created by the composition. There’s touches of chilled out psyche-pop indie a la the quiet bits of Glass Animals or Alt-J squirrelled away in here along with the downtempo EDM backdrop and rising chords, SER creating a mixed-up and, yes, genre-fluid cool pop track that mixes up a bunch of influences, gives them a good shake, and produces something neat and original.

Emma Hunter – Nightingale: A Lynchian Exploration of Desire.

Oxford-based alternative singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Emma Hunter has followed on from her sobering single, Here I Go, with her nefariously indulgent single, Nightingale; it’s a stunning Lynchian exploration of desire.

The multifaceted account of passion captures the highs, lows and intensities of chasing love, showcasing the strength needed to take a chance. It is singles like Nightingale which put the archetypal love song to shame. Because underneath the ‘look at me, I’m so happy, I wish this would last forever’ choruses is the pain that resides beneath the façade; that’s exactly what resonates here.

By capturing the creeping tones of the Cramps, Empress of Furs and Lydia Lunch and contorting them in loops and layers that will pull your rhythmic pulses with them and complimenting the eerie textures with ethereal classical strings, Emma Hunter’s vocals that carry the class of a 1930’s Parisian chanteuse have the perfect  atmosphere to fall into.

Emma Hunter is undoubtedly one of the most mesmerising rising artists around in 2021. When venues are open, you’ll want to be present when she takes to the stage with her elegantly haunting presence.

Kanardo learns that money can buy us anything, but money can’t ‘Loan Me Love’

‘Loan Me Love’ is the opening track and first single from Columbus, Ohio native Kanardo’s new album ‘Pieces Of My Pride’, 11 tracks and 36 minutes of soulful trappy hip hop from that rhythmical, Detroit style, reminiscent of Eminem, Aristotle, or Kendrick. It’s got grind and a smooth, lyrical flow, with some clever wordplay and the odd bent syllable here and there for good measure.

‘Loan Me Love’ opens up the album, and it’s a great little introduction, Kool G Rap style multirhymes and family tripping off the tongue as Kanardo works through the verses, over a steady beat loop and a cute little guitar-based intro and middle-eight.

Appreciating each other: Jonny Tarr’s ‘If I Didn’t Need You’ (ft. Licha) is a true love story to calm the mind

Taken off his latest 11-track album called ‘Tough Stuff‘, Jonny Tarr impresses with his wide range of incredible skills on ‘If I Didn’t Need You‘ (ft. Licha).

Jonny Tarr is a multi-talented Wales-born, Southern California-based singer-songwriter, Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts graduate, saxophone player and more. Here is a man that can loop sax, guitar, keyboard, flute, harmony, and beat-box tracks to fuse a song together like a true master.

A true musician, he can’t wait until covid is over so he can play with his band again and thrill audiences with his array of mind-blowing music experiences.

This is the story of how you so deeply appreciate her as you need her so much to provide support and by just being there, she has done more than most. When nobody else gave you a shot, she did and you care about her so much due to her sweet nature and authenticity. The kind and true genuine energy in this song between the two singers, is a touching reminder that love can be simple if you want it to be.

With vibrant vocals that are never over the top, this is a peaceful song full of hope and appreciation between two humans that just want things to be as they are and never change.

‘If I Didn’t Need You‘ (ft. Licha) from the supremely skilled music maestro Jonny Tarr is a magnitude of sounds and layers that consume your mind when you listen closely, and you know really early that this is truly special.

With a world that feels like it is breaking sometimes, this is a welcome reminder of true love that conquers all.
