“Set Me Free” is the 2019 release from Andrew Masseurs; a one-man powerhouse of talent who uses his multi-instrumental abilities, chillingly compelling vocals, poignant lyrics and ability to write a mean hook to create Alt Rock which is more than worthy of a space on contemporary airwaves.
With irrefutable reminiscence to the stylistic tonality of bands such as U2, Coldplay, Stereophonics and Sting, there’s no denying that the commercial potential is there with Set Me Free; just as there was with Andrew Masseurs’ former album release “Origins”. With Origins, he proved his versatility as an artist, but with Set Me Free, he proved the heights of his talent. Given that his latest release concludes on a guitar outro which would give Daniel Kessler’s (Interpol) a run for his money, any fans of Post Punk are definitely going to want to put Andrew Masseurs on their radars.
