The Harbours are a band that originated in Great Yarmouth but they are poised to take the UK music scene by surprise with their new release entitled ‘One In A Million’ from the EP ‘One Fine Day’. Some songs bring the summer in and this is one of those tracks that has to be listened to on an eight track, driving down a lonely country road with the wind in your hair. It has a Mancunian feel but thats where the similarity ends. Their vocalist, Adam Benjamin, is no shrinking violet. His playful yet proficient interpretation of the slick melody takes us on a journey that we are only too willing to go on. The instrumentation is deft and accomplished, leaving you uplifted and engaged.
New age indie has historically been a difficult nut to crack but The Harbours have smashed it with ‘One In A Million’. The authentic musical interpretations of their surroundings and experiences are unforgettable, and well deserved of the expected accolades this release will inspire.
Please feel free to make up your own mind by watching them on YouTube. Let us know what you think.
