“control” is the ambiently orchestrated latest single from up and coming Los Angeles electronica artist OIR. While the airwaves are filled with offerings of ambient electronica, very few resonate in the same way as the cinematically indulgent single which was released in June 2019.
And just because there’s plenty of catharses to swallow courtesy of the downtempo pacing of control, that’s not to say that there isn’t plenty of intricate and provoking textures to unravel in the instrumental mix.
The sporadic placements of unique effects in the bed of seamlessly progressive electronica draws you further into the sound; you’ll only come to realise how deeply you were immersed when control gently draws to a close.
