If you were to look for the most contemporarily expressive and mesmeric music in 2019, you’d probably have a lot of luck delving into the Post Rock genre thanks to exceptionally talented solo artists such as Oak Meadow.
With “Afterall”; the title-track from their debut EP the up and coming artist deconstructed the archetypal Rock soundscape and sought out the concordantly carved atmospherics which become all too tangible as the tentatively raw single unfolds. With the spatial effects, every blast of silence will remind you just how arrestive the melody with Afterall is especially as the classical swells wrap around the guitar-led progression.
Any fans of Mogwai, Slint, Gold is an Astronaut and Talk Talk are sure to appreciate the sweet hit of aural absolution which is on offer through Afterall.
